NO curse this time, but here's a story about the release of Madden NFL with Rickey Jackson, Deuce, a parade and such coming on Monday.

Many of the superstitious in New Orleans have done everything they can to not make eye contact with the supposed "cursed" cover of the new Madden NFL 11 video game. Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees graces the cover and history does not prove lucky for him.

As much as some Saints' fans may try to ignore and avoid it though; there always comes a time when you just have to face your fears. That time is Monday, August 9 and the place is New Orleans.

EA Sports proudly presents Madden Gras 2011 and as the press report says, they're doing it "N'awlins" style.

What?: Celebrate the release of Madden NFL 11 with a a Mardi-Gras themed event put on by EA Sports. There will be musical guests, game tournaments, appearances by former Saints and members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
