Naturally, if anyone could feel Grant's pain, his mother would. Right? Wrong.

"I called my mama after the Carolina game, and I said, 'Ma, I played all right,' " said Grant, who leads the Saints with three sacks. "She said, 'Son, you played like you were new to the game.'

"Hey, I had a bad game against Carolina. I knew it. Nobody has to tell me, I know it. But when I hear it from my mama I know I've got to do something. I know I've got to refocus and rekindle, so that's what I've done this week."
