Arnoux Injured, Fleur-re-port from Saints' camp - 08/14/10 afternoon: interview with Harry Coleman (slideshow)
Coach Sean Payton decided that the first afternoon practice after a preseason game loss needed to be a bit busier than the morning.
The New Orleans Saints were back on the field Saturday afternoon in the training facility and were kept in motion. Payton is going to make sure that the sloppiness and mistakes seen Thursday don't happen again. Big news coming out before practice is that injured running back Lynell Hamilton was waived by the team. Former LSU linebacker Harry Coleman was re-signed and at practice. Coleman had been in OTA's back in May but was waived before training camp. Afternoon practice would see some fundamentals, more special teams practice, 11-on-11 drills, and the two minute drill. Those sitting out this afternoon were: ~ Active PUP players Darren Sharper, Clint Ingram, and Robert Meachem. Meachem was actually running in this practice though and catching passes during non-contact drills. ~ Tyler Lorenzen, Adrian Arrington, Jimmy Wilkerson, Thomas Morstead, Usama Young, Jimmy Graham, and Marcus Malei all were still out as was in the morning. Young was asked about his injury after practice and he wouldn't give up any information except to say it isn't long-term. ~ Scott Shanle sat out the afternoon and Stanley Arnoux was now seen with a thin walking boot on his right leg. Heath Evans also sat out but there didn't seem to be a huge issue. Read the rest here | |
