Carl Nicks Demoted to 2nd String.

Saints are trying to light a fire under Carl Nicks. Demoted him to 2nd team today for morning practice and was not happy about it afterward.

I asked Carl Nicks how they let him know he was on 2nd team. Nicks: "I don't want to get into that. You'll have to ask Coach (Aaron) Kromer"

Nicks on move: "It has to be one of two reasons – obviously they feel I’m not good enough anymore or they feel the guy behind me is better."

More Nicks: "I’m confident in my abilities. If they feel I’m not capable of playing with the 1’s, I’ve got to respect it."

Nicks said the move, which he wouldn't say how he was told of, was still "kind of a shock to me."

Terrence Metcalf replaced Nicks in the starting line. It's only temporary. They're just sending him a message. But Nicks was clearly miffed.

Well he can get miffed and respond in a couple ways. Step up and deliver or whine and pout and say the coaches don't like me. So far by the tweets he feels like he's been wronged.

Seems he is jumpin offsides and getting pushed around at practice....he needs to step it up...

think big carl just want's the season to start but it don't work that way. put in the time or ride the pine. he'll be fine. just in the nick of time. he he.

I'm willing to bet he's in there for the first snap on 9/9.
