Brian Allee-Walsh, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints LB Sedrick Hodge (leg) is recovering from a broken right leg suffered against the Houston Texans. Saints head coach Jim Haslett said Hodge is ahead of schedule.

Brian Allee-Walsh, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints DE Darren Howard (wrist), who suffered a broken right wrist in the Sept. 7 opener against the Seattle Seahawks, was not due back until December. Howard will be re-examined Monday, Oct. 20, and could have his cast removed that day. Screws were inserted to help the repair. Howard said he hopes to return Nov. 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, although team doctors will make the final determination. Whenever Howard returns, he will wear a protective cast, Saints head coach Jim Haslett said.

Brian Allee-Walsh, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints WR/KR Michael Lewis (groin), who has missed the past two games with an injured groin, remains questionable for the Sunday, Oct. 19, game against the Atlanta Falcons. Lewis will be practicing this week, according to Saints head coach Jim Haslett.
