What kind of day does Brooks have to have to be considered a good day?

What does the defense have to do to say they had a good day?

How many points ahead do we have to be before Brooks can smile? Or can he smile at all?

I have a feeling this question is directed at only a select few.
I\'ll be optimistic if we win period.
Brooks makes good reads and keeps ATL off balance and I\'m happy.
If they play with fire and eliminate the big plays (read Crumpler) against us I\'ll be happy.
Brooks can\'t smile until we\'re .500 or better ;)

I\'ll be excited if we win by two scores. 10-0 or 40-30 is OK with me.

I am always hopeful....

The fact is that we SHOULD beat the Falcons and do so handily. If we play up to our potential, we should beat them into the dirt. What we need to turn my hopefulness into optimism would be to beat a quality team, not one of the worsts in the league.

Still, if we can beat the birds it\'s a start.

The Falcons are crap right now. If we lose kiss the season away. If we win things are looking up. Bottom line we should win. As for your question what will it take for me to think that the season can be salvaged . . . a win against the Panthers followed by a win against Tampa. Basically 3 in a row and we will be back in business. Will that happen? Not with any performance this team has shown this year. Still anything can happen.

Offense must score on 50% of their drives , 3-7 it does not matter .
Less then 20% of their 3 down conversions over 3 yards .
single play 50+ yard scoring does not count .

What kind of day does Brooks have to have to be considered a good day?

50 % of the offense , equal distribution among all receivers in reception totals


What does the defense have to do to say they had a good day?

Opposing offense must not score on 20 % of their drives 3-7 it does not matter .


How many points ahead do we have to be before Brooks can smile? Or can he smile at all?

Brooks scores on the first 2 drives and , Offense must score on 50% of their drives , 3-7 it does not matter .

BillyC, Not only would Brooks smile but he would probably LOL reading these assnine questions. I can only hope you didn\'t stay up all night thinking of them. I agree with previous posts a win is a win, but agree more so with Jude inthat we have to be able to beat a quality team not the celler dwellers like Atlanta and Chicago. The year is not yet completely hopeless yet, we can still salvage some respect in the league by playing like we belong there.

Saints win 31-6, Brooks goes 20-27 for 310 yards and 2 scores with NO DROPPED PASSES. The defense allows 37 yards rushing an 150 passing, with three take-aways and 5 sacks. Deuce runs for 121 yards on 17 carries and catches 3 passes for 54 yards, 42 of those coming off a SCREEN PASS for a touch. Finally, and most importantly, Al Everest calls a MIDDLE F-CKING WEDGE return and my grandfather gets out there in a wheel chair and wheels himself down the middle of the field for a score. Everyone is happy, next week the love fest, including many versions of kumbaya, continues on this board much to Joe\'s dismay, and my grandfather is inducted into the Saints hall of fame after setting multiple NFL records, including oldest player ever to play a game, longest return by a guy in a wheelchair, and only Saints player ever to pee on a Falcon as part of a touchdown celebration.

Well.................

For Brooks to have a good day -- The # 1 thing I want him to do is not make any mistakes that will cost us the game. Besides that, I want him to complete at least 60% of his passes. I want him to take off running when no one is open. As far as TD passes go......... I want him to take what is there. TD passes aren\'t all on the QB. They are dependant on the receivers being open. So, if they are open for a TD, I want him to hit them for TD\'s.

For the defense -- I want them to take away the running game and limit the Falcons to under 20 points. I also want them to apply pressure to the QB on a consistant basis. If they do that I will be happy.

Special Teams. Not allow any big returns and make a few big returns themselves.

You knw a win ugly or otherwise would make me happy.....But, not just to beat the Falcons, Brooks needs a good day for condfidence. He has done well with avoiding turnovers. He need to air it out and let Horn and Pathon make the clutch grabs....Stallworth will get there. The west coast short pass move the ball down the field is great, but Brooks needs to show that his arm is fine throw the ball. A 250-275 yard 65% completion ratio. The D needs to stop Duckett, the dirty birds will come loaded for bear and take it to us, they will not throw this QB to the fire. If they rush against us then the QB will handle the short slants.

There is a real chance that the Saints might lose tomorrow. It wouldn\'t surprise me at all. If they do then it is probably over. But, there is a real chance that this offense will explode tomorrow and carry over into the rest of the season.
