New Orleans Saints fans became spoiled in offensive outburst last season

It has been a week since the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings opened a new NFL season.

The Times-Picayune
The 2009 New Orleans Saints had set the bar way up there when Drew Brees and his 70-percent completion percentage, along with a defense that was returning turnovers for touchdowns, found themselves on an unforgettable scoring streak - 45, 48, 27, 24, 48, 46, 35, 30, 28, 38, 38, 33, 26 in their victories.
Remember?

For many members of a euphoric Who Dat Nation, a 1-0 getaway by their heroes left them with an empty feeling.
The culprit was the score: 14-9.
It wasn't simply a matter of Sean Payton's football team winning a game with the fewest points any of his teams scored in a victory since he arrived as head coach in 2006.
It was that this was virtually the same team that had not scored fewer than 24 points on its way to a 13-0 start the year before.
The more I listened to Who Dats moan, the more I realized Payton's defending champions, in the eyes of some, are being compared to Tiger Woods, not the Tiger of today, currently enduring a winless season, but the Tiger of 10 years ago, who was winning major championships by double digits.

I'll admit that it feels good to be spoiled.

and why shouldn't we feel spoiled?

I take a win any way it comes. I loved to se us play good defence against the Vikings and if thats how we need to win I'd be happy with it.

How can't you be excited that we held the Vikings to 9 points?
Who would have ever thunk that?

This was alot like the Buffalo game last year in week 3, Didn't have a lot of success passing the ball, but we played Great defense and had a strong running game to get the job done. I like the complete blowouts we can deliver, but any way we can win, i'm happy.

After years of bad teams and being made fun of, I dont feel spoiled. I feel vindicated. I have sympathy for others teams, but we definitely deserve this.
Finally we have a great coach and team. I will enjoy every game we win.
Maybe after our 5th SB win, Ill be spoiled like Dallas,redskins,SF,N.E., etc..

But right now, dont feel spoiled at all, blow them out boys.. we know you can.

A win for the Saints, what ever the score is, will do very nicely thanks!

You won't ever hear me complaining because the score didn't match the predictions, as long as we win, then I'm happy!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!
