This game, it's not so much about winning. With some winnable games in the next 4 weeks, the Saints don't need to be 3-0 as much as we need the Falcons down to 1-2 and staring up at us and (gulp) the Bucs (who will probably level off soon). Just my 2 cents.

No, I think you're right. Getting them to 1-2 while we are 3-0, especially with the games we have coming up- I agree it could go a long way

Yeah, I'm not understanding this one at all, unless he's saying even if we lose we have a lot of easier games to extend our lead, even with a loss to the Falcons?

Or the fact that this game is much more crucial to the Falcons, since a 2-1/2 game lead over them AND a bunch of winnable games coming up puts Atlanta in a huge hole they aren't likely to recover from?

The 1st division games are the most important. Ive always believed that if you win the 1st game it gives you an edge for the 2nd game.

Besides failclowns are beating us in total franchise wins, but we own them in payton/brees vs falcons, we need to keep winning to catch up.

Yeah we definitely need to win. Wins against division foes puts us up 2 games and losses against division foes puts us down 2 games against them. So division games are essentially worth 2 games when it comes down to it.

According to Payton home field advantage is the most important factor. Last year the Saints had home field advantage because we took care of business within our division. That is my kind of recipe for success. We need to win this game, while the falcons feel like they have to win this game.
