Now that we are humbled
 

What a great tug of war today!
Falcon Fans of course are bouncing off the walls, their site is offline and their other fan forums are already talking Superbowl and making some boardline Katrina References as usual, but despite all of that, it was a good game, we had a lot of errors, remember we did come off a short week and we still played one of the tightest games that was played by any team this season, had we not been truly ready, Atlanta would have walked all over us, we stood tight, our injuries were more crucial than Atlanta's and they played us with all of their pro-bowl players and were 97% injury free and we still gave them all they could handle with a reduced practice schedule..

Atlanta deserve props though, but even atlanta fans can admit this game could have gone either way and Saints made the most mistakes and had less on the roster to work with so what does that say about them?

Seriously, we knew it was going to be a tough game. We had a short week, and we made mistakes. Every game we play is a playoff game this year, we can't make mistakes.

HI! I play for the saints, and I look like a vagina........ I can't tackle, and I cant catch a pass..... I have a superbowl ring, so I dont have to try anymore. So forget you! I can be the biggest loser I want now!.. I could handle this loss, if we had played to our potential, but this game was pathetic. there is nothing to be proud of.....

We had so many mistakes, had we been any other team i don't think it would have been this close, i think Saints did decent with the adversity.
Falcons was just keeping up with us, and we basically came in the game crippled.

This one game doesn't make the season; bragging rights until we meet again in week 16...

We'll be resting all our starters ready for the playoffs in week 16

We're in the playoffs? Holy crap, I must have missed the memo......

This game shouldn't have even been close we had 2 Int's and 2 fumbles a couple of which killed drives inside the 10 yard line. We missed the game winning field goal. Like a pimple faced 16 year old on prom night we just couldn't close the deal.

It was one hell of a game... well fought by both side. The Falcons capitalized on our mistakes and we didn't weren't able to seal the deal at the end. You can tell they did their homework... as they continually used Gonzales to exploiting our weakness defending TE's.

The positive I took away from today as well as the first two games is that we are exhibiting the marks of a great team in that even though we have not played up to our potential i.e. first two games on offense and make critical mistakes (today) we still find ways to win or give ourselves the chance to win (today). I am proud as hell of this team. We played three quality teams to start the season with our offense not playing like it can and we are one field goal away from 3-0. When you do not play up to your potential and still make your opponent fight like hell to win or stay close, that my friends is the mark of a great team. We are going to have a fine season and as long as we stay healthy this team will without a doubt give us a chance at a second Super Bowl.

falcons win and a win is a win blah blah blah blah....but after 3 turnovers and an idiot kicker they still suck and will ultimately fail, as usuall. We will prevail. That is all.

We played a very poor game and still should have won. Atlanta should consider themselves very lucky they walked out of here with a win. They played their game plan perfectly and still it took O/T and a missed chip shot on our part for them to win. This is nothing more than a sign that on a day when we play bad, make a bunch of mistakes and face an opponent on top of their game that we still have a shot to win. Nothing to panic about. This is a wake up call that pedestian efforts are not enough. We'll rebound next week in dramatic fashion.

I agree. Also, considering how much time the Dirty Birds had the ball you'd think they'd of scored far more.
