Farewell . . . I enjoyed the ride while it lasted!

I just want to bid farewell to my friends on the B&G. I have enjojoyed some healthy discussion over the years. After participating in the chat during the game Sunday I expressed my opinion of the lack of or poor performance of the team we all love. There are many that have the same sentiments. I and others were called out as "giving up" on the Saints. Nothing could be further from the truth. I, as many others, are frustrated. If I cannot openly express my opinion without being accused of "giving up", not believing or losing faith then I just need to, regrettably, quit participating. I understand some are, not unlike all of us, passionate about the Saints but to call certain ones out because we don't agree with their opinions is unacceptable. I don't think that is what the Halo and the other B&G members want to see this forum turned into. Just my opinion . . . it's been fun!

Dude you're not going any where. You have the right to express your Opinion. What do you can what other say or think.

So first you give up on the Saints.. then you give up on B&G?:mrgreen:

Seriously though, there will always be different opinions on here or any other forum. And I called the Saints loss from the stands when the Panthers were on the 35 yard line. Only to say "just kidding" two plays later.

Stick around DblBogey. Any guy with the name of my typical score on most golf holes is cool by me!

I, too was one of the doubters yesterday-most of y'all don't know me, but if I can offer a theory as to what was happening-

when you first wake up with a hangover, you usually have a headache- did that really happen? then you sit around sort of mumbling to yourself, until something pisses you off and you yell at everybody you know until you get so tired that you retire into a kind of blissful post-hangover sleep- I think for a lot of us Saints fans yesterday was that final stage in the hangover- I was very unhappy with the way we played yesterday- but now that it's today, and I'm realizing we're sitting 3-1 and atop the NFC- I'm happy as ****.

In the words of the MNF crew......Cmon Man!!! Your not leaving, myself nor the other members of B and G will allow it!!!!!!

After 7 years, I can't believe you would leave because of something like this. I have to say I'm a little disappointed... I hope you change your mind but if you don't Bogey, good luck to you wherever you end up. They'll be getting a solid member.

Child please. This is your home.

Just my opinion... here are a lot of jack-azzs (In my opinion) that have thrown the "giving up" on OUR team statement around the past few weeks. I believe there is even a thread about it.

Expressing concern about OUR team is not giving up. Wanting a player replaced is not giving up. Complaining about aspects of OUR TEAM, or OUR game, is not giving up.

Changing your avatar to a star and cheering for Dallas is giving up.

Different people express their frustration in different ways. Some take it out on out Team, some take it out on Fellow Saints Fans!

Scolding your child for doing some wrong is not giving up on him. It is caring, and passionate, and shows you expect better. Kicking him out of the house is giving up.

To the OP. Ignore "Those people", and cling to your guns, religion, and Saints!

Dang... and I thought it was because of the avatars...

Well considering that there was another NFL team out there....

Saints could be 0-4 as easy as 4-0. You could make a valid argument either way. This reflects little as being a fan. Passionate fans are the most critical.

Bogey, if you're looking for sympathy... well... I though being a Saints fan meant having a thick skin. I'd just put people on my ingore list and call it a day. Suprisingly I don't have anybody on my ignore list..... yet. :???:
