Follow Share this story Story tools New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter is expected to miss about two to four weeks after suffering an apparent medial collateral injury in his left knee, a league source confirmed. Porter came back into Sunday's game briefly after suffering the injury during the Carolina Panthers' final offensive drive. But tests revealed a slight tear on Monday, according to a source. Porter tweeted the cryptic words, "Why me?" Saints Coach Sean Payton did not offer an update on Porter's status during his Monday press conference. He talked about the safeties who left Sunday's game, then added, "We have a few other nicks." Read the rest below... At least its only a sprain. He should be ready for the Pittsburgh game.
Time for Robinson to grow up. |
I know that there are no creampuffs in the NFL, but our schedule is laid out about as good as it could possibly be with all the injuries we are facing...
5 Sun, Oct 10 @Arizona 4:05 PM 6 Sun, Oct 17 @Tampa Bay 1:00 PM 7 Sun, Oct 24 vsCleveland 1:00 PM 8 Sun, Oct 31 vsPittsburgh 8:20 PM 9 Sun, Nov 7 @Carolina 1:00 PM 10 BYE WEEK 11 Sun, Nov 21 vsSeattle 4:05 PM If you could hand me 5-1 on those games right now, I'd be all over it... |

We just can't escape the injury bug... it seems like it's a constant issue with our team. Luckily for us our upcoming schedule is pretty weak... hope these guys get healthy fast. I'd hate to face Pittsburgh undermanned.

man, porter just seems to rap his body around tackles like a rubber band. he needs to lock his legs up when terrorizing wrs. this is from the same guy who wanted to teach ricky williams how to fall without getting hurt. lol

Robinson may take over and never look back.

I hope Robinson steps up and plays good!!!

i've seen the recover speed robinson has when he flopped on a coverage. you can see what the scouts and payton saw in him. but till he takes that word recover out of his portfolio. porter's job is still his. i would welcome robinson to the starting rotation if he advances rapidly though,
|
I think its Porters job, whilst he's injured Robinson should fill in. But we talking bout the Legend Killa here, Can't replace the kind of plays that porter makes. If Robinson advances real quickly our pass D should be pretty darn good, When Porter comes back Robinson should be at nickel.

when is sharper back? need his leadership to help the kid(robinson)

Something is going on w/ our dome turf, or practice facility. It just seems like the injuries our team sustains, year-in and year-out, are more substantial than other teams.
Am I the only one that feels this way? Last year, didn't we have more players, by-far, than anyone else on IR, in the playoffs? It just seems like a negative trend that we continue to have to fight... |
Hoping Porter's healthy enough to make it back for Halloween night to trick the Steelers.

I hope it's a beautiful day in Mr. Robinson's neighborhood (w/o the landlord)

Worried here too.:( Keep the faith.
Some bad luck right now, but that means who is out there on game day will have to work harder. The Saints can do this...still.:bng: |
