Bucs' game vs. Saints on Sunday already blacked out despite 3-1 start
Their 3-1 start has not saved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from attendance woes. The Bucs' game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday will be blacked out because the team is unable to reach a sellout.
Even though the deadline for selling out isn't until Thursday, the Bucs acknowledged the like likelihood of a blackout on Monday. And WTVT-TV sports director Chip Carter -- whose station was set to broadcast the game -- confirmed to the Tampa Tribune on Tuesday that a blackout would be in place. Full piece here... People aren't ready to buy in just yet. We've beaten two sorry teams and one decent team. We've lost to one elite team. The big question regarding the Bucs is CAN THEY BEAT ONE OF THE ELITES? If the Bucs can pull off a win vs the Saints this Sunday, I think it'll be a turning point.

They won a SB less than a decade ago and now can't get fans excited about a 3-2 (after today) start and a promising young QB? I guess it's because they only have a population of about 4 million or so? :confused:
