After Dallas beat a black pants-wearing Saints late in New Orleans’ 2009 Super Bowl run, the drumbeat grew louder and louder from Saints fans who knew one thing – wearing black pants was not the way to win the big game. After the Saints lost to Atlanta in the third game this year while wearing, you guessed it, black pants, Who Dats were screaming about the uniform faux pas from the highest points they could find in flat southeastern Louisiana. How far does their belief go that the pants are cursed? One fan went so far to document the Saints’ wins and losses and what uniform scheme they were wearing in each game since 2006. But to the players, there’s nothing to the Curse of the Black Pants. “I love the all black,” receiver Devery Henderson said. “I like the all black. I wouldn’t necessarily say we play better in any uniform.” “It’s hilarious because nowadays, people will find anything to talk about,” backup quarterback Chase Daniel said. “It is amusing, yes. Please, let's stick with our regular uniform and no more jinx. The white jersey's with gold pants are powerful, like voodoo.

I used to like the full black uniforms since we dismantled the packers in 2008, but what I want to see now is White and gold on Sundays, black and gold on primetime/ monday night games. We really kicked ass with the black and gold last year!! But then again we just straight kicked ass all year last year lol

we should not ever wear the black pants...aside from a curse, they look like crap. gold pants should be a given...white or black jersey should be the only thing to choose...end of story!

I guess I'm in the minority, because I still think we had no better look, ever, than Deuce in the gold jerseys...
I also designed (okay, with MS paint) a jersey a few years ago that looked pretty sweet... Was white shirt(or was it black?)/black pants but it had a gold stripe tapered from the armpit to the waist, then a gold stripe down the leg, except for a little circular black spot on the hip where there was the "Saints Louisiana" logo... somebody on the "other" site actually had it as their avatar for a while (uncredited of course) couldn't find Deuce... |
I personally love the black on black but I agree we've played like crap in them lately

Does anyone know what uniforms the Saints will play with on Thanksgiving when they whip the Cowboys and take the Cowboys out of playoff contention?

I prefer the gold pants over the black ones. The gold pants make the players legs look strong and muscular. The black ones make them look like they have stick legs. Black is a color you wear when you want to look slimmer. Slim football players aren't intimidating. Stick with gold pants, please! This fangirl would greatly appreciate it. ;)
