Reggie Bush could face Steelers, Pierre Thomas status is doubtful
1 Attachment(s)
New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton is “guardedly optimistic’’ that injured running back Reggie Bush will be able to rejoin the team’s sputtering offense Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With regard to the status and future availability of injured running back Pierre Thomas, Payton simply is guarded with his comments. In other words, I might classify Payton as a "doubting Thomas.'' Bush is expected to return to practice Wednesday on a limited basis after missing the past five games while recovering from a fractured right fibula. “It’s going to be wait-and-see this week,’’ Payton said of Bush during his weekly Monday press conference. “We’re optimistic, yet we’re guarded. I think we just have to pay attention to how this work week goes.” Bush, too, said he plans to take it one cautious step at a time, though it’s apparent that he would like to make his return against the Steelers in the nationally-televised game from the Superdome on Halloween night. Whats this deal about Pierre and Payton not seeing eye to eye, nola.com reported it yesterday. This is the last thing we need right now, a player of pierres caliber is too good to lose, somethings a miss here!
On a different note, its good that reggie is coming back soon! |
If Sean Payton has a problem with Pierre Thomas, it should have stayed between them

I saw that too but Peyton won't deny it. Who knows? Apparently it's over whether Pierre can play or not... Quote:

I want Reggie to only because he is healthy, not because he wants too. We can't lose him for the rest of this season. If we do lose him...we might as well start up a new draft board discussion.

Good if Bush gets back. About Thomas, sounds like the meadia wanna create something where there's probably is nothing.

Like I've been saying it's easier to play chess when you have power pieces. It's hard to win a game when you only have pawns.
