I realize that Saints fans haven't been to Canton often, but it's known as the legendary gold jacket. Looks very similar to these unis:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?id=5571732 A near consensus of what isn't so hot is the French's mustard-colored blazers that Hall of Famers are required to wear. "I have no idea how they picked it," said linebacker Harry Carson, shaking his head. "You can definitely see us coming." Rice and Carson were joined by fellow yellow jackets Steve Young, Roger Staubach and Warren Moon to kick off the second annual ESPN.com/fanschoice, which allows fans a forum to vote and debate. Last year, more than 1.5 million fans voted, which ended with Rice and Emmitt Smith as the two favorites, and Charles Haley, Ed "Too Tall" Jones" and Cris Carter rounding out the top five. So, as you pointed out, the Steelers jerseys mirror these very same famous jackets in color. Yellow! |
And another ...
Michael Irvin recalls having sex while wearing his yellow Hall of Fame blazer Michael Irvin is really proud of being a Pro Football Hall of Famer. The former Dallas Cowboys receiver recounted his memories of his 2007 Hall of Fame induction this week. Irvin said he was so proud of his yellow Hall of Fame blazer that he didn't want to take it off ... including during intimate times. Irvin describes it in his own words, via the Chicago Tribune: "I remember when I was inducted into the Hall of Fame and they gave me my Hall of Fame yellow blazer. I wore it for two straight days. Finally my wife was in bed and said she wanted to make love but that I had to take the coat off. I refused and kept the blazer on because I wanted to perform like a Hall of Famer on the field and off." |
