twitter updates on todays injuries
jenkins is just a shoulder stinger, says he'll be fine
shapers says "those worrying, ill be ok just a tight hammy" ivory said he sprained the A/C joint in his left shoulder and that it was separated x-rays on shockeys ribs were also negative |
what's that mean for Ivory? Regardless, glad Reggie is coming back after the bye
|
if wasnt very clear on whether it was a seperated shoulder or he was referring to the a/c joint. depending on the grade of the seperation it could be 4-6 weeks if its a bad one.

Who knows what will come of PT, but at this point, I could see a rotation of Bush, Jones and Ivory. Mix in PT before the playoffs and we have a nice rotation. |
So does that mean I drop Ivory

JJ = Mike Bell, IMO. Fresh legs and knows Payton's system. PT succeeded in the screen game and did run well last year. There's more to this injury than we know - that's for sure. |

well just for the record i want it to be clear that im just speculating on recovery time. i dont want anyone to think this is what ive heard or anything, i do physical therapy and thats just a guesstimate. i dont want to mislead anyone. like i said it all depends on the grade of the separation. hopefully its nothing too serious.
just want to clear that up folks. |
I have been very impressed with Julius Jones. That guy has never been a burner, but he has very good vision and he's pretty explosive. That long run he ripped off yesterday was a good example... saw a hole (thanks OL), made a burst, and took off. Very decisive. I much prefer him over Ladell Betts who couldn't make WVSaint miss in the open field (no offense WVSaint!)
|
heard SP on SIRIUS this morning. They asked if this was a play-off game, would Reggie have played yesterday?
Coach said yes, definitely, but in a limited basis, maybe 12 snaps or so. He said the bone is completely healed, but they are working on the stiffness now. So I'm guessing Reggie will get to start after the bye. |
The Seattle game is a game we should win (did I just say that?). It will be an excellent game for Reggie to get his bearings.
|
I too agree that JJ is a keeper, Ladell Betts should be the back that is cut when the time comes. He couldn't side step a pepsi can rolling towards him, the guy looks done to me, JJ has fresh legs and really looked good (especially at the start). Hes the guy to keep, can't wait to see #25 back out there, we have definitley missed him.
|
Bye bye Betts. He just hasn't produced. End of story. JJ looks real good and fresh, but PT is still the man in my book. When Reggie and Pt come back we should have a dang fine looking back field.
