Tight end Jimmy Graham caught his first touchdown pass as a member of the New Orleans Saints in their 34-3 win against Carolina on Sunday.

After the game, he talked to the T-P's James Varney on what it was like.

He has really improved since the start of the season. I really didn't care for the taunting of the Panthers fans. But, atleast he didn't break into a Lance Moore dance. LOL.

Jimmy Graham is going to be great, I said the same thing as soon as he was drafted and I watched abit of tape on him. He is becoming more integrated into the O, this kid is going to be a star

I hope he becomes a star because Shockey has to be getting near the end.

First of many to come in a Saints uniform. As he continues to learn all the nuances of of our offense, he's going to become a major part of it. His athleticism is off the charts and I can definitely see a Jermichael Finley type ceiling for him in the future.

Agreed. I knew he was raw coming out of college, but I was stoked about Graham when the Saints drafted him. Brees put Antonio Gates on the NFL map in San Diego, and I had a feeling he could do the same for Graham. I like that he's being utilized more in the offense now, and I think next year, he could definitely be the starter at TE.

He was pumped about the td! Can't wait to see more out of him!

Have to admit that I was quite impressed with what he did out on the field on Sunday. All of us Saints fans in the stands were excited and I had to remind more than a few panther fans that he is from NC. Amazing how none of them knew it:rolleyes:. Notice how both he and Shockey went to Miami for college?! Not ready to give up on Shockey yet, but nice to know there is one making his pressence known.

Awesome. You know, umm, with Shockey injured, a great find, you know, and he is perfect.

It's good that he is growing into a true professional TE. He and Shockey have a couple of years together I think. Once he begins to learn the nuances from Shockey the kid is going to be great. btw He looked really good at TC.

He faked the leap into the stands and then tossed the ball up into them. Or did I just think I saw something?

I thought it fell back and one of his team mates said keep it. Of course I could be wrong. It's happened before. At one time I thought SR was the place for info.:rolleyes:

My friend and I thought it was hiliarious... I think he thought he was in New Orleans and wanted to leap in the stands. You could see the Panther lady waving her hands telling him don't jump. He the proceeded to give the ball toss the ball in the stand only to have it slapped back in.

Good teams find good players so it doesn't surprise me. I like how he says, "I was adopted" right out the gate. We know already, jeez! Kidding. Glad his adoptive family was there to enjoy the moment. You just know things are getting started. He's going to be good.

Anyone else see a young Tony Gonzalez in Graham?

I hope he does not let this go to his head. He should be watching film and practicing instead of worrying about what to do with the football.

i feel the front office/ scouts are rocking finding jewels that have to prove they want to be the best, this guy can be a major stud in coming years.

I don't think he was taunting anybody.He was excited and forgot where he was for a split second.

love his passion, brings it. will pass shock one day and shock will cheer him on.

Lets jus hope he's not as brittle.

Papz, I did not realize this until I saw him return that kickoff. How absurdly fast is this guy for his size- and he is huge!!
