A week off what do we do ?

We turn towards the future , the future of the Saints playing field .

I will say for the record , the New Orleans Saints need a new stadium . What I am thinking is not just an ordinary stadium facility but a Mega plex .This may seem radical at first but if you follow it , it may make sense . The state of Louisianna needs to acknowledge the New Orleans Saints as what could be their greatest asset in the New Orleans area .

The mega plex would include but not limited to , stadium , casino , hotel and retail sales . The center point of this is a retractable roof stadium with a natural grass field , capable of seating 85,000 fans . The surrounding area is encircled with retail sales and casinos , and finally the hotels at the perimeter . Certain hotels and sales percentages can be used to finance future sporting needs and maintenance of the area . A Disney world like endeavor that makes the Stadium the focal point .

The iniital burden would be on the state , but the thought of a self financial generating endeavor might ease some of the future economic strain .

Saintz08 I didn\'t know you were in the Saints Public relations department. Tell Fieklow I said hello. But really you are absolutely correct. A new stadium is just what the Saints should get. I know a lot of people think the dome is good enough, but it has been there forever. At one point it was state of the art. Now it is a fine example of how it used to be done. We need to go first class all the way. Not to mention the financial impact this would have on the city. Every time I come home I am impressed with the new developments around the CBD. I would love to see a new facility for the Saints. One day I will return to New Orleans for good. The one thing I hope is that the Saints will still be there waiting for me.
