Howard to play against Falcons

mÃƒÂƒÃ‚Â¾HOWARD RETURNS: Right defensive end Darren Howard, who has been sidelined since dislocating his right wrist near the end of the first quarter of the season opener on Sept. 7, returned to practice Wednesday.

Howard, a four-year veteran who has 25 sacks in his first three seasons, worked with the scout squad Wednesday and expects to play Nov. 16 against the Falcons.

He had the pins in his wrist removed a week ago is wearing a soft cast off the field. Howard will wear a hard cast with lots of tape and bandages wrapped around it in games.

"It felt like home," a beaming Howard said after practice. "It was the first time I was out there, and it felt good. There wasn't a lot of pain, I just have to get my confidence back using it on the field."
