Not as easy - Seachickens expose weaknesses
 

Just a few issues to fix before thursday:

1) long snap. What a freaking joke. Hartley has some liability, but that's a timing issue that the snapper has to fix YESTERDAY.

2) Greer. Body clearly in dome, but left brain in men's room. They figured he couldn't be as god as the hype and boy were they right.

3) pass rush. Hasselbeck was drinking tea and eating scones while perusing the secondary. Kitna's going to have a field day as their line is better and their receivers are faster.

4) kickoff coverage. What is the problem? Average starting fp was unusually high. OB kickoff didn't help.

5) speed of play. Can't we play faster? Every fast series wound up being a fast score. Just score points! All this personnel crapola is just giving opposing defenses too much time to adjust. The wr/te corps are virtually interchangeable, just mix the positioning, not the players. Using less playclock forces base defenses, giving more to exploit. Way too obvious today.

6) fix red zone offense. Wow. How freaking lucky can we get blowing 3 rz chances? Bad playcalling mostly responsible. But brees has to fix his vision because those passes were horrible.

We were far too lucky today. Many things went right, like dropped wide open passes and barely illegal touches and red zone ints.

Personally I've never liked our special teams play over the past 3 or 4 years. After the season ends, I'd like us to bring Bobby April back in town.

Greer was one of the top cornerbacks in the league... second to Revis based on last year in my opinon. But... he has taken a step backwards this year... hopefully for the stretch run he can return to form.

As far as the snapping situation is concerned... we did just lose Kyle and we weren't prepared for it. Just like the Steelers in their Superbowl run when the lose their long snapper, there will be an adjustment period. But... I have no doubt we'll be fine in the upcoming weeks when our LS gets acclimated.

i never thought we were in danger of collapsing.hassbek aint no joke, he's been around this league. he can spot a open reciever like brees. the dump off passes saved his asre all day.nobody stayed with the dam back out of the backfield that could have gotten us more sacks.

Wow! I thought we played a pretty darn good game overall, really. Yeah we left some points out on the field, but what the Hell do you want, a freaking 55-0 blowout every game or what?

Hasselbeck is a very veteran QB in this league and he knows how to beat you if you leave him opportunities, just like St Thomas said above. To only let him score one passing TD, I thought was pretty damn good personally.

Hopefully, Reggie returns on Thursday at Dallas and our offense will look even better.

I'm not ready to criticize our team to death after a 34-19 win myself...

My two positives:

1) first glimmer of a running game. But not due to oline.

2) Dallas will win if we play like this on Thursday

dallas will be the spoiler for every game they have left. we need to put them where they belong thursday at 3:00 , back in the losing dumpster.

This is still the team to beat, as long as we don't beat ourselves. And there's been too much of that this season. Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion, and bodies making mistakes will continue to make mistakes
