Any Word on Pierre Yet/ Props to Ivory
 

Just wondering if anyone knows any updates on pierre's status, the one thing i have noticed in his absence is;

Teams are Blitzing us a hell of a lot more because theres not really a threat of a screen game, Ivory Needs to learn this because he is a fantastic runner.
Pierre is an endzone magnet from screen passes, HOWEVER the past couple of weeks Ivory has really shown that he can be "the guy".

I've been real impressed with Ivory's runs, he finds ways to either shimmy between a real tight spot of a tackle and and a TE blocking for him (he did it vs dallas) or he just plows straight over everyone (see vs seattle, dallas, tampa bay)

I still wanna see Ivory get his touches when Pierre returns because he is more of a churn it out type of back (just with great speed), i think as soon as pierre gets healthy and reggie knocks off the rust the O will open up loads (even though its looked fantastic the past couple of weeks)

Just think what the first screen pass to Pierre will be like when the opponent runs an all out blitz, hello endzone.

He is apparantly not coming along well. I have pretty much written him off the rest of the year. If he can come back bonus, if not Ivory and JJ are doing just fine. We have probably seen his last game as a Saint IMO.

I thought i heard something about him being a week away... but things are week to week with him.. we discovered his injury was more serious than we thought and he may actually need surgery..

We miss his versatility and tackle breaking. Ivory is a great power runner and nothing more. He has to learn and grow into the rest. Reggie is a receiving weapon. No one respects his running the ball. He goes down too easily and can cough it up too often. Julius is decent at all and a good back up but is not exceptional at anything. Pierre was the total package of real good at everything. We are a better team with him. I hope he returns. As we've seen this year, you can never have enough depth.
