America's Love Affair over with the Saints
1 Attachment(s)
Yes, the Super Bowl changed everything. It gave hope. It gave heart. And the tears and cries and the party that spilled through the still-broken city that February night the New Orleans Saints won were real, perhaps never better expressed than by a man who stood in the middle of a mob on St. Bernard Avenue in Treme and shouted:

Basically, one person's opinion. As far as I'm concerned, the Saints are OUR team. We don't need all of these new bandwagoners anyway. The rest of America can keep their Cowgirls. America's love affair with Saints is over - NFL - Yahoo! Sports |
Under the radar baby!!! Just the way I like it.
|
We aren't Americas team, never were, still we love em. All they need.
|
Love us and leave us! we should be used to that by now.
|
they only wanted a story...
and that's fine with me...we got what we wanted. now it's just time to keep it going! |
Glad to be where we are, still flying, but off the radar. No bandwagon fans needed here. The Saints have accomplished what was never suppose to happen. Never say Never.... Onto that next Super Bowl championship! Two DAT!

America loves us so much they show 12 sec highlights of the game on espn and NFL network

When I saw the headline for this post, I thought it was an article from The Onion. That's how laughable it is. Then again, the writers for yahoo sports aren't much more serious. lol.

I never wanted us to be America's team. We have enough band wagon and fair weather fans as it is.
|
America's team ??? They only Love ya when your winning. Are the Cowboys America's team.

Well, here's how people treat the underdog as if you didn't know. They're for you when your up against some goliath that they all know you can't beat. ( COLTS ) When you take out your smooth stones they laugh, and then when you battle and take bring the massive giant to the ground they are amazed. Slowly but surely you become the giant. Now the that we are winning people ain't supposed to like us. As a matter of fact if we keep it up people will hate us. I wonder if you remember those old 49ers teams (Montana or Young ). I hated them. The Cowboys teams ( Hated them ) The New England Patriots were the exact same team we are now when they played the Rams (Greatest show on turf ) and were the underdog and people loved them. Now look at them. I want the hate. It means you are doing more things right.

We didn't have the support of "AMERICA" for the first 43 years so who cares if we don't have it again. They can suck my &4%7 and their Momma's can eat my $5& and their Daddy's can bend over and get %$&*(&. Sorry for the bleeps.

I'm fine with the media sucking Atlanta's $#@&. When the Failclowns choke and their season goes down the drain, we'll be running away with our second title!
Suck it Media! http://thechicory.com/blog/wp-conten...2/williams.gif |

I don't think America's love affair with Saints is over for it never really started. Right. Many new fans are just so because of the SB or last year. The Saints are low key in a small media market. The players do not show off and are not on a first name basis in the media. Brees is not even really all over the place. |
Rail Boss, I love your avatar!

That's the cool thing about the city of New Orleans and the Saints. Neither have really cared a whole lot about what others are thinkin'. When they are ready to go to work or play, they simply roll up those sleeves and get it done!
Always have. Always will. And that's why we love 'em. |
