Absolutely Gutted

well its been a few hours now since the game and I am absolutely gutted, i felt sure before the game that we would win this one and to be honest when i think back i still don't know how we didn't. Out of all the games this season i really felt we would win and yet at times the Ravens seemed to catch us where it hurt, they really seemed up for the game which makes you think how or why they haven't performed like that before now. it'll take me some days to get over this

there no need to feel gutted. the ravens are a good team, very solid on both sides of the ball. add that to the fact that we seemed to have no identity on either side of the ball today. i dont mind losing to good teams, its the losses to teams like arizona that kill me.

we had a bad day, time to regroup and get ready for the falcons, the season is not lost.

This pretty much sums up how I feel too. The Ravens don't suck. Minus our bruiser back (and I still think missing Hargrove really hurt) we had a bad day at the defensive office.

You can bet GW will have this team prepared to stop the run next week.

If he teaches them how to tackle between now and then we'll be just fine.

Why do you feel let down? Have you not watched any games this year since the Super Bowl? This was the Falcons and 49ers and Cowboys and Vikings game, all over again. Just against an actual kinda good team this time.

This Saints team scores a lot in the 1st quarter, on scripted, balanced drives. Then it goes to sleep in the 2nd. Meanwhile the other team plugs away, keeps playing the game, and scores something in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters. Then this team suddenly wakes up like Rip Van Winkle late in the game, in the 4th, OMG WE R LOSING HERE, and tries to pull a win out their supply of magic pixie dust, reaching in the seat of their pants. A supply which was mostly exhausted last year, because everybody has studied those old games on film by now, while the Saints were on their extended victory lap basking in the glory. All we need to do is, Drew throws another routine 80 yard miracle touchdown at the last possible second, and we'll win it fer shure!!!!

This has been the recipe for the Saints all year long. Look sharp in the first, then disappear, throw a bunch of incompletions/3 and outs/interceptions, then pull it out the collective rear at the last possible moment. Are you SURPRISED that something crazy and lucky and miraculous didn't happen for the Saints at the last minute?

God i was in a nasty mood. I found myself in the Barrio yesterday, itching for a fight. I stared at vatos, and stood in place like I deserve to exist.

thanks for your empathy, England. You really are a WhoDat.

Its kinda like a spanish version of "homie." Sometimes its meant for your personal friends; sometimes you mean it in a derogatory way. Think of it like, "I was surrounded by Bubbas."

I actually got to a point, where I realized I was trying to get into a fight, and since my wife was due to walk out of the store any minute, I thought better. No woman can make me jealous enough to fight anymore, but the Saints had me ready to scrap for real.

Our D made some sloppy mistakes. 1st BAL TD was blown coverage.
We had some bad D penalties that kept giving their O good field position.
