Who will be Targets for Matt Ryan Monday Night?
My vote is Malcolm Jenkins
And if you ask me Jenkins better have his best game all season or we lose.. Who else ya'll think he goes to? |
He'll go after Greer again, because Roddy White only has to point at one of our players to get a flag, thats what happened last time.
Also Shanle (sigh) Roman Harper also needs to have his best Pro game, because he'll be on Tony Gonzalez most of the day. |
Tony Gonzales will be his go-to guy, because he is invisible to the refs. Able to push-off at will and can blatantly hold on running plays without fear of any flag being thrown...
|
They don't want him "going after" anybody. If we shut that run game down, even a little, they're in trouble. Ryan may be good for a drive or three but a game on his own he cannot win. He's no Brady, Manning, or Brees, no matter how much the media might like to think so.
More than anything it'll be the TE. Gonzales is a master at drawing the PI call, and the refs are going to be eager to give it to him too (conspiracy). IMO that's where the real danger is. ***edit*** You beat me to it MITCH...but you know what they say about great minds! LOL |

Very strong possibility we'll be back January 15-16. Send a message.

Knock his freaking head off, GW needs to dial up every blitz in his playbook
|
goze, white, its all he has
|
If we can just get our kicker to make one this game we'll win!
|
HELL YEAH Monday can't get here fast enough!!
|
These Falcon fans are just ticking me off, with all of their smacktalk. Harder schedule? Everyone knows, that the defending champions ALWAYS have a harder row to hoe, because every team they play, has that game specifically circled on their calendar. Let's see what they have to say, when they lose in their own house on MNF..... I'm sure, as with everything else, they will have a million excuses as to why it happened.
|
The Saints have to target Turner, White, Gonzales, and Matt Ryan. Just Stop them.

Throw it to #42 on defense, he will catch it. Sharper is due :-)
|
Gonzalez and Gonzalez and then Gonzalez again. He's at the center of all they do. When they get run stuffed, Gonzalez is next in the queue. When White can't get open, Gonzalez on 2nd-and-10. When Matt Ryan is out of reads, he can just throw it somewhere in Gonzalez's proximity and let him flop and flail to trigger a flag.
I just want to see ONE pick-6 (Sharper, Greer, I don't care who gets it). Ryan will get tentitive and then we've got him. Even if he's 0-for-8 to Gonzalez, he can't stop doing what he has been groomed to do all season. Our Gonzo-box has to stay locked for all 4 quarters. |

Matt Ryan is going to be looking for Gonzales all night long if Shanle has to cover him. I believe that our corners are ready to cover man on man and bring the extra pressure on Ryan. Greer has struggled a little bit since coming back from his injury earlier and he should be ready to step up again.
If Shanle somehow manages to limit Gonzales then Ryan will be checking down all day to his running back. We have to stop the run and let the secondary do their job. |
