On the off chance
On the off chance the Saints lose the next two games and the packers lose. There will be 4 10-6 teams who has the tiebreaker with who?
|
If the Buccaneers win out and the Saints fall in their final two games (putting both teams at 10-6), Tampa Bay would get a playoff spot over New Orleans.
However, the Saints and Buccaneers can both make the playoffs at 10-6 in two scenarios: 1. If the Giants lose their final game (at Redskins on Jan. 2) and the Packers fall at home to the Bears on Jan. 2, those outcomes would put the Giants and Packers both at 9-7. 2. If the Giants win their final game and the Eagles fall in their remaining two contests (vs. Vikings on Dec. 28 and vs. Cowboys on Jan. 2). That outcome would put the Eagles and Saints tied at 10-6 and the Saints would own a better NFC record, giving them the playoff birth. amended from a dated article: Playoff Scenarios |
I'm sorry; I just can't see us falling to T.B. in the final game.
|
Me either but just wondering.

Sorry
I think my post is inaccurate because of the giants' loss. |
Can someone tell me what this nonsense is that Tampa Bay has the tie breaker over New Orleans? Didn't we beat them? They have more losses than we do, how do they have the tie breaker. This is confusing.

They won, we lost - Arizona, Cleveland, We won, they lost - Pittsburgh All else is equal so they'd win the common opponent tie-breaker. |

All possible scenarios. Knock yourself out... |
Have we actually started thinking about having lost the last two? Really?

There are a lot of gloom and doom possibilities I do not entertain the thought of. Way too many to start listing.

Why is I pick my noise and 2 minutes later it's full again? roflmao Like Strato says "JUST WIN THE DAMN GAME"! and we won't have to worry about the chaos on the darkside
|
This is giving me a headache......how about we just win both of our final games and continue that through the Superbowl?
|
The only gloom and doom in my book is that ATL plays CAR the last week of the season.
I think we beat ATL tonight and clinch the #5 seed. Problem will be next week. ATL is going to crush CAR since they will have to beat them for HFA. I just hope we have some folks on staff doing some scoreboard watching that will tell SP to pull Brees and some other key starters if ATL has a 21 point lead by halftime (as I suspect they will). If ATL is winning big, we have nothing to gain by risking starters any longer than we have to against Tampa Bay. |

Hey. Wait for Tuesday. It all becomes an awful lot more clear like hopefully academic.
