It should be okay. Maybe a little big.

I really don't feel that the Falcons DID play a great game. Take away the one long run by Turner and the offense did nothing. Game plan was vanilla.

Throw in the obvious interference on Decout and subtract the bullsh** roughing the passer call and it's a different game and we win going away.

They played a good defensive game. Probably as good as they could have. Their offense definitely struggled.

Speedy Ron 12-30-2010 09:47 AM

honestly, i dont really think the falcons are good. ive made other threads about this. they dont really beat any good teams. they have won some close games, yes, but against some teams that are not so good. ryan has a pretty good cast around him and still chokes. could you imagine if brees had a rb like turner to keep defenses honest? not knocking pierre but turner is better than pierre. we dont have a roddy white either. our stars were either undrafted or almost undrafted besides meachem and henderson. i still dont see what the hype is around these losers. their record is good but the way they have won doesnt deserve repect. they have been lucky and maybe sometimes it takes a little luck but i dont think they are good at all.

Speedy Ron 12-30-2010 09:49 AM

ryan also has buck teeth and looks like a mule. the coach is a huge cry baby. and they play the samuel L jackson "rise up" video to get the fans fired up. sounds kinda douchey to me

SaintFanInATLHELL 12-30-2010 09:56 AM

Ron,

Tell us how you really feel! ;-)

As an anal English teacher I don't like the grammatical redundancy of "Rise Up" (how else do you rise?), but in their dome it is actually pretty cool when SLJ comes on the big screen. People go nuts for it.

Funny, others say the same thing about Who Dat.

ScottF 12-30-2010 10:18 AM

That is funny.
Through my rose-colored glasses I don't see the problem with Who Dat, and certainly would never mark it wrong on an essay

thats the sad thing...they need samuel L to get the fans pumped up. if samuel L came on the screen in the dome i would sell my season tickets

Yeah I was mainly talkin' about our D, trust me we all noticed the strangely vanilla game plan as well.

As for you there Speedster ya might want to settle down with some stats, and check out Atlanta's schedule Vs. Y'alls. Y'all lost to Arizona by 10, The Browns by 13 ! both bad teams. We put a BEAT DOWN on the Cards 41 to 7 and beat the Browns by 10, tho we did take a pretty good wuppin' by the hated Eagles. Oh yeah and we split the reg season with y'all. I'd say thats pretty good right there.

|Mitch| 12-30-2010 09:48 PM

Don't forget the loss to those Steelers led by Dixon...

take a look at your own schedule.
week 1 loss to a good team (Pitt)
week 2 beat cardinals....horrible team. our worst game in 3 years
week 3 beat us cause we miss a 20 yd field goal
week 4 beat SF by 2. they gave you a fumble and win by 2
5-beat browns...whoopee
6-loss to eagles
7-beat Cinn by 1 td...terrible team
8-beat TB
9-beat balt. roddy white offensive PI didnt get called and you win
10- beat STL..who cant
11-beat GB who pulls facemask in last few sec and you win by FG. not admirable win
12-TB should have won but they give you a good call on a interception that everyone knows even experts that it shouldnt have been ruled int
13-carolina sucks
14- seattle sucks
15- we monkey stomped yall

dont come on here and stunt like you have some good team. winning by fg is more luck than anything and winning by someone missing a fg is even luckier. every good team you played beat the piss out of you

Chill, Ron. I met Greg on a Falcon forum and we made a signature bet. Part of that bet was that he come here and register. He has manned up more than many would around here to do this. He has earned my respect and I ask the same from the rest of the forum.

Sir, I submit to you that the road to the Super Bowl is paved with Heart and Luck, we have both :)
I agree with you on Pitt
I agree on the Cards and Y'ALL LOST TO THEM
Saints and Falcons #1
There was more there than just a missed field goal. Hell you wouldn't even have counted that as a win if you had beat us by a field goal. Wait what was that score on Monday night ? oh yeah we lost to y'all by a field goal, well I'll be damned ! now I don't even feel like I have to go thru the rest of your list, seeing as I have applied YOUR logic to y'alls win. Yer gonna have to do better than that bud :) what else ya got ?

Thanks man but I do enjoy a good debate :) I do appreciate your respect, you have mine as you are a civil, intelligent poster, I just like talkin' football :)

Okay, have at it!

I do myself.

:-D

no mind logic; a win is a win.

And forget the score, holding your offense to 215 yards is a pretty significant win...

I was merely responding to the Speedster, I think a win is a win, and yup y'alls d was up to it, curious as how it came down to 3 points again tho.

yes on paper it was 3 pts. but we should have had two wins "by 3 pts". a 20 yd field goal...c'mon man. you cant respect that win can you?! yea we won by 3 pts this time but only because of the stupidest play of brees' career. and my friend that is called beating yourself not getting beat. arizona for us was absolute misery to watch. i equate it to slamming your nuts in the door. that was a perfect example of beating yourself. actually their d scored more that their offense did. kind of like what your team did on monday.
i respect your fan hood because it takes a good fan to come to an enemy's board and defend a team chocked full of losers...its quite ballsy actually. i also think that it takes a good team accompanied with a little luck to make it to the big dance. both of these you have and mostly the latter. its just the fact that i would rather the saints move to another city than see falcons win a superbowl. :bng::lightsabres:

Hey Ron-
I am not supporting the Falcons guy (probably my neighbor) or starting something with you, but we got pushed all over the field in the first game.
I was there, and it was a hard game to watch bc our D was on the field for the whole game. TOP was 45-27 and Atl had over 200 yards rushing. Our offense finally clicked at the end, which is why I still can't figure out the first down FGA.

Oh well. It's over now, and Atl has proven home field advantage is a myth. I see on repeat of the MNF win on Jan 23

Hey, I'm not sayin' y'all aren't good, I just think we are too. I'll take a win by 3 any day over a loss.

Very nice avatar btw ;)

I didn't get that First down FG try either, Hindsight is 20/20 so they say.
