Projected schedule for 2011 season

If the current format and 16 game schedule continues, here is what the schedule looks like:

Home: Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis , NY Giants, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Carolina.

Away: Green Bay, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Tennessee, St. Louis, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Carolina.

Looks like next year both Manning's come to town, and only 1 possible cold weather game, depending on the time of the year the Packers game is played.

papz 01-03-2011 12:06 PM

I like having Indy and the Giants at home... Green Bay will be a tough one on the road. All in all... not to shabby. 10+ wins and another trip to the playoffs definitely look attainable.

Budsdrinker 01-03-2011 12:17 PM

Could be 2 cold weather games. Who knows where the viqueens will be playing next year!

Speedy Ron 01-03-2011 12:21 PM

Damn that schedule doesn't look all that bad... All depends on what they get in FA and such.

c4jun 01-03-2011 12:44 PM

Indianapolis and Green Bay games will be on Monday night.

cajun911 01-03-2011 12:46 PM

I wouldn't mind going another away game next year. Tennessee maybe, or St. Louis.

QBREES9 01-03-2011 08:50 PM

Strato lets get this one 2DAT !!!

Crusader 01-04-2011 01:48 AM

Planning another trip to the states. Would like to go to Tampa Bay and New Orleans. Would like to see the Giants, Colts or Lions game. I'm hoping that any of the 3 will be a week away from the away game in tampa so I could fit both in a little over a week. Otherwise flying to Green Bay would be an option.

exiled 01-04-2011 02:28 AM

ahhh... the 2nd place sched.... so, when the giants come to town should we adorn part of the stadium with blue and scribble giants in the end zone - and proceed to boo as they come on to the field - just for old time sake or am I holding a grudge?

QBREES9 01-04-2011 12:57 PM

God I hope I can to either the Houston game or Tampa Bay Home games,

Rugby Saint II 01-04-2011 01:32 PM

Remember how tough last season looked in advance. Things can change quickly in one off season.

st thomas 01-04-2011 01:41 PM

LOOKS LIKE WE'LL BE PLAYING AT LEAST 3 NEW HEAD COACHS, HELP ME OUT HERE. 1- POSSIBLY TENNESEE, JACKSONVILLE , CAROLINA. U CAN SAY A NEW COACH IN MINNISOTA SO THAT COULD BE 4.

darstep 01-04-2011 01:47 PM

I see 4 reasonably tough home games and 4 reasonably tough road games. Let's say we drop half of each and lose 2 at home and 2 away. We would be 12-4 and back in the playoff/home field hunt again. I like it! A lock-out and a nine game season just blows all of it out of the water.

Opponents revealed for 2011 New Orleans Saints season

Even though the New Orleans Saints will be traveling to Seattle this Saturday to play the Seahawks in a wild card round playoff game; it doesn't mean that it's too early to start thinking about next year already.

Well, maybe it is.

The NFL has just released the lists of opponents for all teams in the league for the 2011 season. No dates have been determined yet of course, but that information usually doesn't get released until closer to the draft in April. That's also of course if there is a season next year due to the problems in talks for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

In the 2011 season, by rotation, the NFC South division will face off against teams from the NFC North and AFC South.

Below you'll find a full list of the Saints' opponents for both home and away games.

Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New York Giants, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts

Away: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans

Predictions can of course be made, but it's extremely early to even begin trying to do that. With so much time left this season and then the offseason including trades, free agency, and the draft; it's far too difficult to determine how the season may go. Still looks like an excellent crop of home games for the Who Dat Nation.

FireVenturi 01-06-2011 12:45 AM

Only possible bad weather could be green bay. Schedule shouldnt be as brutal as it was this year in December.

Anyone have the Falcants schedule yet?

FireVenturi 01-06-2011 12:46 AM

Forgot one thing.......11-5

saintsfan601 01-06-2011 01:08 AM

How are we playing the Rams?Aren't they an Nfc West team.

They finished second in their division just like we did. The same reason we play the Giants.

AlaskaSaints 01-06-2011 05:09 PM

I'm rotation-ignorant. But I travel to at least one game a year from Alaska and hope for warm destinations. Arizona this year was AWESOME. Except for the outcome.

I sorta hoped for San Diego. I guess that will come back around someday!

Tampa is just too far. Heck, that's halfway around the world from here!

Alaska

jeanpierre 01-08-2011 07:10 AM

That's a tougher schedule than we think...

Many of those teams were turning it around this year...

BringTheWood 01-08-2011 03:53 PM

Personally, I think this is a very favorable schedule. Let's hope your prediction of the format remaining holds true.

ClintSaints 01-13-2011 01:19 PM

It's going to be a tough year. I really hope the Saints can win their division. I see them going 13-3 at best and 10-6 at worst. Either way, there's no way the Failcons can do that well next year and I think they will go 8-8 or 9-7. The Panthers will be in the wilderness for a while. Not sure about the Buccaneers - they could be contenders next season.

st thomas 01-13-2011 01:28 PM

chicago better get ready for a can of whopp asss

I hear ya ... just one more reason to come to New Orleans ... it's got to be cold right now there ...

Anchorage Weather Forecast and Conditions

high of 21 ... feels like 10 degrees ...
ouch!

9thWardDesire 02-27-2011 09:55 PM

I hope we play the Mannings in back-to-back games. Is there a chance we could see GB in December when the "Tundra" gets frozen?
