New Orleans Saints fans aren't flocking to Seattle this weekend

Tickets, hotel rooms, airfare. What's available and at what price?
In countless homes across the Who Dat Nation, anxious Saints fans clicked on Web sites and crunched numbers in their heads, weighing whether to buy or not to buy. Would it be Seattle or bust? By Monday afternoon, it appeared that a hearty portion of the Saints traveling fan crew would be staying home this weekend, watching the television and rooting for a chance to travel to a second-round Saints playoff game. The game at Seattle's 67,000-seat Qwest Field was not yet sold out as of Monday afternoon, almost a full day after the game was announced. Tickets were still available directly through Ticketmaster, the Seahawks ticket outlet. Buyers could snare upper-level seats -- on the Seahawks' side of the field -- for less than $100, or opt for posh club-level confines behind the Saints' bench for $240 a pop. At StubHub, a popular online ticket resale site, seats ranged from $77 to $ 772. New Orleans Saints fans aren't flocking to Seattle this weekend | NOLA.com |
They need to put together some nice package deals if they want Saints fans to go all the way up there against a 7-9 team. I don't blame the fans at all. If this game was in Green Bay or some other place, nothing against Seattle because I hear it's nice, more fans would have definitely flocked there.
Just pretend for some strange reason something un-imaginable happened and we lost, how sucky would it have been to say we traveled all the way up there and spent all that cash to lose to the frickin' Seahawks. The Seahawks. |
Seattle is a pretty long trek. Only the Hawiian Pro-Bowl is further. Not a lot of hype about this one either, even though its the most important one - and the only one on the schedule right now. I wouldn't go even if somebody gave me tickets. My last two trips were losses and I refuse to go three-and-out. I'm even going to watch the February game from a distance.

That's because Seattle is as far away from New Orleans as you can get and still be in the Continental United States. |
I'll be watching it on my 108" HDTV.

Do the neighborhood light dim when you crank that thing up? |
Really? Who wants to go sit in freezing rain to watch them play a 7-9 team, save the money and spend it in Dallas
