What Worries Me the Most....

This was posted on another thread and I thought it really needed its own thread. We really haven't needed much of a running game with Brees. Now with Reggie in the game more, defenses have to key on him which hopefully will open up lanes down field.

Face it, this team is not going anywhere without our good hands team. Hopefully Shockey or Graham is ready to play. Plus Shockey is the key to the running game and pass blocking.

The good news is the Colston was full in practice. Shockey was still limited.

We need one of the TE's in there, because its obvious Tory Humphrey is not a catching TE, all he can do is block.
If a couple of guys can't go, expect Arrington to be in the slot alot more and get many more Reps.
I expect Payton to call a couple of Runs from the shotgun, with a RB next to brees, Reggie does that well.
I hope Joique Bell can get afew up the middle runs, nothing special, keep it simple for his first couple of days with us.

Don't want Colston to get hurt during practice like PT!! Save him for the game! Arrington will have to do what he did last week and more. Shockey, good for a few plays hopefully. Miss his attitude. Maybe he shouldn't have cut his hair.

Maybe he should try a different barber. No not Tiki or Rhonde.

MARION Barber would be refreshing right about now...

I think that Graham is the only one who doesnt play Sat. 12,85, and 88 will be out there.

Don't be surprised if some of these same starters don't play against Seattle.

It's S E A T T L E ...

Not saying the Saints should look past them, but they'll need to be at full strength to get past round 2.

Nahh man it is a great point.. they have 7 wins. they're not that good. Anyone can win, but if we don't turn the ball over we should win.

I really don't think there can be any excuses if we lose this game

My biggest worry? 3rd and 1

I got a feeling that Sean is going to use Evans in the short yardage packages this week, he spent time at HB for the Patriots so lets see what he can do for us, he's been damn near invisible this year anyways

Good point RG83 I believe Evans will have big part in this game running and coming out the backfield catching the ball.

6-4 318lb RB? Jahri?

A big part of our offensive success is the variety of personnel. We make it difficult for teams to match up when we rotate so much. That is so important to the effectiveness of Payton's playcalling. The more guys we miss the harder these games will be. At least 2 of Shockey, Thomas or Graham need to be there. Colston is a must. We haven't been running successfully all year so we'll have to make due with that.

Play calling on 3rd-and-1.
I have never liked stacking two more tight-ends on an already overloaded front.
300lbs x 14 doesn't make for much room to squeeze out the 2 yards we need.
With our talent, and Breees at the helm, we should spread the field even on 3rd-and-1.
Let Brees choose how we get what we need, pass or run...and the run gapping is better when we spread the field.
But that's just me.
