Joique Bell - Preseason Game Highlights, Unfortuntaley

Has some decent skills, but whole different thing against starters and in the playoffs, but even so for coming out of Div. 2, pretty good skills. I also like on the one pass play is the nice block he made.

So who knows after he learns the system a bit?

He looks like he understands blocking schemes as an RB, from those clips he was taking what the defense gave him and he hurries to get through the line of scrimmage.
I agree if he gets chance to learn our system, the guy could contribute well, just might be a little too late now for any contribution in the Playoffs.

The fact that he gets any positive yards behind Buffalo's line is good enough for me.

Doesn't matter how well he runs, it only matters if he knows how to pick up the blitz and run a screen. He has no value if he can't because the defense will know what play we're running, no pun intended.

If you watch the one play, granted it is one play, but he does a nice job of it

You're absolutely right he cannot just run

I disagree. If you remember, it was three or four games before Ivory would go in on anything but a run. If he was back there it was usually in the 'I' and everyone including my wife knew he was getting the ball and that it would be a run.

All that didn't matter b/c he ran like a man, got yards and balanced our attack. We have Bush (and hopefully Jones) for blocking, screens etc...
if this kid can just help us grind out clock than he is more than worth it.
