Lovie Smith says the Bears are preparing to face the Saints
Posted by Mike Florio on January 6, 2011, 9:05 AM EST Lovie Smith Though the Philadelphia Eagles shouldn’t need any extra motivation this weekend when it comes to playing the Packers, they may have picked up a little more motivation when it comes to playing the Bears in the divisional round. If the Eagles can first beat the Packers. Bears coach Lovie Smith said Wednesday that his team is preparing to face the Saints next weekend, which means that the Bears believe that the Saints will beat the Seahawks — and that the Packers wll beat the Eagles. The Bears upended the Eagles in Chicago during the regular season. Actually, half of the Eagles’ six losses in 2010 game against teams from the NFC North, and they’ll have to go 2-0 against the top two teams in the division if they want to fulfill a destiny date between Mike Vick and his former team, the Falcons. There seems to be a bunch of opportunities at redemption for the Saints this year. If we do get to play Chi, just imagine how good it would feel to avenge the losses we had there. They hit Joe Vitt with snowballs, and the signs about Katrina. I want that win real bad. I hope we get a shot at it.

It means that the Bears fear the Saints the most.
|
That NFC Championship loss to Chicago was just Payton out smarting himself. I think he learned his lesson.
|
What are they doing to "prep" for us? Is Cutler practicing getting thrown to the turf?

"Lovie Smith says Bears prepping for us."
You ain't got enough time Lovie! You better hope Philly wins. You don't want any of this. :bng: |
I see it as a dig against Phillly as well they are saying that GB is going to win. That is the only way New Orleans will travel to meet the Bears. Doesn't matter if we win against the Seahawks it is all up to the GB/Philly game.
|
E A G L E S .... I so want them to win just so the Saints can bounce the Failcants from the playoffs in round 2
|
The Bears suck.
|
I was there Exile, didn't hear it (wife says I cant hear anyway). But there was a ton a of terrible calls that went the BUCs way, so it doesn't surprise me. Worst officials I have seen in the Dome all year.
|
Yep. ATL gets lowest seed. CHI get 2nd lowest seed. They are just prepping for their toughest matchup. More pieces to our puzzle. Their offense is wanting - so they know that they would have to TRY to stop ours at all cost. They are doing what they have to do.

There is an advantage to GB winning though.
GB wins, they go to ATL. Saints win, off to chicago. GB beats ATL Saints beat Chicago... NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME is in New Orleans!!! |
I've been wanting revenge against the bears since 06. Not so much for the loss, but for how much the fans up there acted like a-holes from what I've heard. I've hated the bears since then and always root against them.

I want the Bears in rd 2 and the Falcants in the NFCCG.

[QUOTE=foreverfan;277524]Do you thing they've changed? :???:
I KNOW they haven't changed at all. They are still rated as the most classless fans in the NFL. |
the bears aren't what they think they are. i've watched them 4 games this year and they want no part of saints with are without rbs.

No wonder Vitt was pilfering Vicodin. I was disgusted with the Championship game in 2006. They had Duece and hardly ran the ball in bad weather. Each time Drew threw it I would yell at the t.v. (I'm sure most of you did also). Now the Saints have virtually no running game and that concerns me. What comforts me is that the Saints are the current NFL Champions so they will be prepared and will win the game. |

I think we go to Chicago And Green Bay to Atlanta we beat Chicago Green Bay beats Atlanta NFC Title game SAINTS vs Packers in New Orleans SAINTS Baltamore in Dallas SAINTS TWO DAT Drew Brees will have beaten all 32 teams in the NFL
|
Bears, one game time at a time. But if you want look past you then go ahead.

In my honest opinion, that is exactly how I see it playing out. The Bears will eventually prove to be a fluke, and everyone is going to see how overrated the Falcons actually are. Division championships for those two teams or not. I don't see either one in the NFC Championship game unless Philly ends up beating Green Bay. Then Chicago may make it. |
I like it D
|
It's our destiny to beat the Bears. Don't ever forget January 21st 2007. We will make them remember how we felt that cold and windy day in Chicago.
