Patrick Petersen Entering Draft

I'd move up to grab him. Return guy, and eventual Greer Replacement.

He'll be a Top 3 pick...

Probably take trading our entire 5 pick draft to move up that far

You are probably right..but i'd be working the phones on Draft day trying.

I could see a swap of a first, throw in a 3rd round and a player.

Hypothetically speaking: If you were the Panthers with the #1 or Broncos with the #2 or the Bills with #3. Would you trade your chance at getting a game changer Nick Fairley or Peterson for a 1st & 3rd + a player?

I know I wouldn't not even if that player was Drew himself...

I'd like to see the saints pickup lb tank carder from TCU kids a beast and I think he'd dot well with us

Nope but one can Dream. I don't know what their most pressing need is either. Think Carolina might go QB or something to generate offense.

I can see Broncos getting him to replace Champ?

Bills could use some Offense as well.

I'm thinking the Panthers will take a wide receiver, A.J. Greene being the best available.

Broncos take either Peterson or Fairley

Bills take the remaining player; Peterson or Fairley

Those are the top 3 players entering the draft, now that Luck is staying at Stanford...

We know this already the Saints will take who ever falls to them.

Carder. Believe that was in another thread as well. Carolina has to do something about their qb situation. Just don't see Jimmy sticking around in the number one position for them.

You dreaming we would have to pay to much for him. Plus he cramps up to much.

|Mitch| 01-10-2011 11:19 PM

Kelvin Sheppard could be had with one of our 3rd round picks. However he is a ILB, not a OLB where we need help...

lumm0x 01-10-2011 11:51 PM

We have two starting caliber CB's, drafted one with our 1st rounder last year, have a former 1st rnd CB in Jenkins who can play that in a pinch and you want to give up picks to move up and continue to address this position? Don't get me wrong, great prospect, but one of our least need positions for sure. Unless the move up price was minimal or he miraculously fell to us, it would be crazy to think he could ever seen black and gold duds.

|Mitch| 01-11-2011 01:15 AM

Yep; Projected as a top 3 pick[Rated as the #1 CB] is just decent...

I agree. Get some real passrush and Greer and Porter will turn into superstars. Although I think Greer might be the nickle back next year with Robinson starting with Porter.

Will you eat crow when the Broncos or Bills draft him 2nd or 3rd?

Strato; I looked at the list and there will be talent available as the Saints have four picks (#24, 56, 72, and 88) in the first three rounds!

I guess you missed the games where he had completely shut those two down. It works both ways. He's going to light up the combine and is a sure fire top 10 pick because of his athleticism and potential. He's one of those guys that will be a better pro than college player... I do believe some of that college hype he received was over the top.

The A&M LSU game was the first time I ever saw Von Miller play... I was very impressed and would not be disappointed to see him on our roster. I thought he would be a little bigger making him a tweener type... but he isn't.

I guess Im just not seeing that we need more DB's, were pretty deep. Id rather focus on needs OL, DL, LB, and WR core.
