The New Orleans Saints have given permission to the Philadelphia Eagles to interview secondary coach Dennis Allen. The Eagles are in the market for a defensive coordinator after firing Sean McDermott last week.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports first reported the news Wednesday night. Allen just finished his fifth season with the Saints, his third as secondary coach. The Saints' defense finished the regular season with the fourth-ranked defense in the NFL. He served as the team's assistant defensive line coach from 2006-07. Prior to that he was on the staff of the Atlanta Falcons for four seasons. The Texas native graduated from Texas A&M and served on the Aggies' staff as a graduate assistant before taking a job at Tulsa. Let him talk, how much of the success is credited to GW or this guy?

GW, but maybe they think he has learned a thing or two under GW. |
Allen could have benefited from GW the way Payton learned from Parcells. I want him to keep cashing our paychecks but if he takes the job I wish him well.

if hes the guy behind the arm tackling let him fly. still poed sorry, i'll get over it eventually.
|
Good luck to him either way. But the only coach I'd really like to see leave is our special teams.
|
Yeah let them talk to him...
I think Philly is more likely to hire Dean Pees than him anyway. |
Allen is supposely interviewing for the Broncos DC position prior to his Eagles interview.
