Drew has more class than any professional sports star I can think of. I love Drew the football player. I love that he has delivered the Saints to the promised land. I love what he has done for the gulf region. I love what he has done for the state. But none of these translate into an automatic vote. I will have to wait and see how he stands on policies.

This. I would admire him, because I know he'd be in it to do the right thing rather than to collect a pay check/free ride like so many politicians, but I can't say I'd be on his political band wagon until I know where he stands on things that matter. Something tells me he and I would agree more than disagree, but with politics, like religion, you just never know.

He'd make an honest public servant though, regardless of his leaning. I'm sure of that much.

There's no such thing as an honest Democrat.

If Brees is a conservative, I'll do everything I personally can to help him succeed.

If he's a liberal, I'll do everything I personally can to see him fail miserably and I'll find as much joy and happiness in his defeat as I did in his victories as a Saint on the field.

Well, he's too old to be a full-blown liberal. With the exception of mental illness, full-blown liberals grow out of it when they start paying their own bills. LOL
