IMO, if Bush restructures for the right price, the Saints will keep him.

The biggest knocks on Bush are injuries and not having a decisive running style.

There isn't a lot that can be done about the injury side.

I blame the coaching staff for not doing a better job of breaking Bush's bad running habits.

The coaches can only do so much. If they tried everything and it still wasn't working, they would probably decrease his touches... oh, wait, thats what they did.

The only bit that annoys me is: I love what Reggie brings to the table, he is a great player

He can run between the tackles and is extremely effective at doing so.......when he committs to it.

Last year vs cards, Reggie played like he was p***ed off at Arizona and wanted to hit someone, he did the same this last preseason.

It was just an unfortunate year for him and the rest of our RB's, none could stay healthy so we had to rely on JJ and ladell Betts, not a good combo.

Pierre Thomas is an absolute must. He has a way of dissecting defenses and running through tackles. Reggie Bush is fine in the passing game, but if the price is too high, then.... Chris Ivory is a keeper for sure, or at least he would be if he weren't getting injured all the time. If Lynell Hamilton comes back at or near 100% I'd really like to keep him.

The problem is he hasn't committed enough to running between the tackles. He would prefer to dance and I think we have seen enough dancing. I do however think he realizes he is extremely overpaid and although he may test the waters I don't think he will get anywhere near the money he is making. If he restructures OK if not OK. But it will take a heavy restructure to make the Saints happy I think.

Reggie only stays if he takes less $. A lot less. I think he comes back because he's probably more valuable to Saints than any other team and he'll find out his true market value.
Ivory is the future if he comes back 100% from his injury. But his style and the injuries that result will mean Saints will have to add more RBs via draft (lower rounds) and UFA.
PT only gets a contract if the Doctors give him a clean bill of health. His ankle injury is bad.

A healthy Reggie Bush, to me, is worth about 3mill per year. For Reggie or PT to succeed, we need another "Deuce McAllister". Is that Ivory? I hope so...

Stays:
PT
Ivory
Hill
Evans

PJ Hill was just waived along with FB Marcus Mailei.

So do we add Kearney back?
