Unless Shockey wants to sign on for less (Obvious) and be a mentor of sorts, similar to Brunell and his tenure with us, he likely won't ever be a Saint again. I suspect this is less about Shockey not being capable and more about the New Orleans brass wanting to get started on developing their franchise TE. If Graham meets half the expectations that the Saints have for him, he will be a major player for at least 5 years.

I dont get it. I think he's a cut above most TE's, and he's aging into that leadership thing. count me among the disappointed.

Shockey has a ring and a long history of success.

The last thing he is is a "loser."

Only Tom Coughlin and one internet poster have anything
negative to say about him. And Coughlin has since learned

Players like that aren't replaced easily, Jimmy has some big shoes to fill that is if he can stay healthy too
