Hard to argue with this list. I'm really glad to see Eric Martin's name up there. He was my favorite on all of those late 80's/early 90's teams. Not fast, not flashy. He just came to work with his game face on every day. Throw the kitchen sink at him, and he would catch it, too.

Wide Receivers > Wrong (Danny Abramowicz, Wes Chandler)
Athlete > WTF, you, yeah you, go line up at athlete?!? Defensive Line > Wrong (LaRoi Glover, Derland Moore) Returner > Wrong (Bush has had more success) |

Abramowicz? Not great. Interesting but not great. Athlete WTF? Really. I don't think anyone would argue there. Returner? Bush? LOL. Floydd Turner was better than Bush has been. DL? Glover & Moore. I guess everybody can't make the list but certainly 2nd team. ;) |

We'll probably see both Colston and Porter on that list in 5 years. Might have Jenkins, Graham and Nicks also. Vilma is a great LB but I don't know if he'll ever get mentioned among those 4 guys.
I don't have a lot to argue about on that list right now. |
It's impossible to crack the linebacker list with this franchise but Vilma would be 2nd team starter
|
The decisions are getting harder every 5 years. That is a good sign :-)

I was young but wasn't Mel Gray just as good or better then Lewis?

are you kinding me Abramowicz was amazing, hard worker never giving up attitude. he deserves to be on that list he was one of the best |

And booyah for my boy Sammy Knight up there! |
Well Mel Gray was an excellent returner for the Saints as was Tyrone Hughes; like the Beer Man's Story more than I like the results (he was always awesome in preseason).
But Reggie Bush has 4 PRfTD; Hughes is second... Michael Lewis has 1PR/3KRfTD; total of four... So Bush has had as much success in total returns for TD... Mel Gray avg 13.4yds/R... |

In fact, I'd take Lance Moore over Reggie Bush right now. |
Hughes has a total of 5TD's on returns to Bush's 4...
And Bush doesn't get kicked to that often... |

3 of Reggies TD's were all in one year, and I think 2 were in the same game. I posted this from another discussion on the topic. Quote:

Bush was tackled when the 49'er jumped on him as he was already down; and no flag was thrown...
But we never had much success with the refs when we played the 49'ers... And TD's are a pretty good indicator of success of returns... Bush is judged way too harshly and with set up with high expectations... Is he worth what his salary has called for last season and what he is due this season? No. But what his drafting and his role has meant to the Saints and this offense is undeniable and underappreciated... While I loved the Beerman's story, Bush's chapter is not quite finished and guys like Hughes and Mel Gray (which I admit I forgotten though he did leave via FA) were probably more impactful than Lewis... |

alot of unanimous votes on there.
My all time favorite Dalton was a * also! |
man i wish we had dalton and deuce in there now, with bush working in
|
Ok this list lost all credibility with Reggie on it!
I was going to say if it didn't have Guido Merkins on it it would suck... but I was wrong it got worse by adding "ATHLETE" WTF is that about. Go figure anything to do with the Saints and the history of them had to SUCK! |
This list can't be any gay - er.
|
This list is gay!
Athlete - Reggie Bush. SO clearly the fag putting it together has a man crush on Reggie right!?! Had to create a spot just so he could be on the list... what a joke of a roster. No credibility what so ever. |
