Saints worst TE pick of the century (2000-present) Austin Wheatley (5th round, 2000). The Saints haven't exactly drafted too many TEs in the last decade and Wheatley didn't pan out. He dressed for four games in his rookie season, but never caught a pass and didn't play anywhere else after 2000.

Oh boy.. "Face-Palm"..

5th round busts are quite common.

I agree and have very low expectations for any body drafted in the 5th round. Although we do seem to bring out the best in our late rounders.
