Something to Ponder: Saints worst DB pick of the century, no other than..
(2000-2009) Josh Bullocks our (2nd round, 2005). Here's another player coach Jim Haslett raved about and never blossomed. Bullocks was a big liability in pass defense for several seasons as a starter. The Saints let Bullocks go in the 2009 offseason.
Surprised he lasted so long, but he had a lil fan-base. |
Nevermind, they're talking about 2000 and up
|
yeah, Danno, that knocks out Johnny Poe.
I didnt really dislike him, but I thought you'd enjoy remembering. As far as least bang for the buck, and biggest disappointment, I would think .... what was that guy? Eric??? came from philly--- all world speed... Not Mcmillian-- he was all guts... Damn what was his name. |

thank you. yes, Eric Allen. People thought he would be Deion Sanders and shut down half the field.
|
I thought Eric Allen did well... now Dale Carter on the other hand... thought nether were draft picks.
|
Eric Allen was past his prime when he got here.

thats true, FF. I guess that would be like judging Earl Campbell by
his stint with the Saints. Or Archie by his time with the Oilers. |
Alex Molden last season with the Saints 2000. Considering all the stellar players we passed over Eddie George, Ray Lewis, Marvin Harrison to name a few and that Molden averaged 1.6 picks a season with no pick 6's I'd say he's right up there. He'd always play way off the receiver, granted they didn't get much YAC because of his closing speed but he was never going for the ball. The handful of picks he did get were gifts.

What about Michael Hawthorne? He was pretty bad..
