Another sad note to todays loss
Big Easy rumor
With Gregg Williams' future in Buffalo cloudy, and questions regarding Jim Haslett in New Orleans cropping up numerous times this season, an entertaining rumor has popped up in recent days. Stories out of Buffalo and New Orleans reported Haslett has an out in his contract he could activate only to defect to the Bills, a team Haslett played for. Juicy, but bogus! "Absolutely not," Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said. "I've heard that one, too, but it is not true. There is no out, nothing that allows anyone to leave for Buffalo." In addition, Loomis squelches rumors Haslett will be let go following the season, regardless of their outcome. "Jim is an excellent coach," Loomis said. "There is no scenario in which that happens. He's our coach and is a very, very good one. The players respond to him. People want to put him on the hot seat, but tell me this: Who is better?" |
Another sad note to todays loss
Great. Fantastic. My prediction for next season: 7-9 or 8-8. You know why? Haslett will be coach and Brooks will be QB. This truly is torture.
