LETS GET IN ON!!!!
|
Two things I liked right off the bat:
1) Only really possible cold game is at the Titans on Dec 11th. 2)Two home games against division opponents to close the season. Glad they finally host Chicago too rather than having to travel to Soldier field. Seems like the last 10 games against them have all been on the road! |
call me crazy, but i think that schedule looks tough. 3 road games in a row before we come home to play the colts??!?! wow. i think we will have some trouble putting together a long string of wins this season, we better not lose any close ones......im looking at you garrett hartley!

OPENING DAY ON A THURSDAY AGAINST THE SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!
Superbowl Champs HAVE NEVER LOST a Thursday night opening game.... |
When can I get my Desktop Schedule?
That's very important to my existence! Please! And Thanks! Alaska |
I see at least 10 wins.

Might have to do an early preview version... |
Halo that's going to change Sept 8th. Who says thing can't change. No team has ever loss all 3 games to end the regular season and won the SB until the Saints. We change history and I believe we will be the first team to beat the defending champs on thursday night. Who Dat!!!!

Call me crazy, but my initial thoughts are that I like this schedule. Granted, opening up @ Green Bay is a doozy, but Payton & Brees will have us ready. Also seems like Payton's good at bucking trends (in our favor) like no SB winning team ever losing opening day.
Aren't most Thursday night games difficult, due to the shortened week? If so, that's one good thing about the Green Bay game, and it's the only Thursday game we have all season. The bye week is really late. I don't think we've ever had one as late as week 11. I guess you never know how that will play out, but it seems like that should play to our favor. Definitely a good thing that we don't have any Real late season, outdoor stadium/weather concerns, besides Minnesota. And isn't mid December still relatively early? Lot of teams on the schedule, that I look at as a question mark. But, it seems like every year, there are plenty of games that no one knows what kind of team we will face (Tampa bay last year). At least I don't see Pittsburg, New England, or Baltimore. And, at least we have Indy and da Bears at home!! All I know is I'm damn happy to finally see the schedule. I really couldn't care less who we play, rather if and when we play. |

Total brain fart. Obviously Minnesota is not a weather concern. I was watching something on NFLN about their old, outdoor stadium. It must have clouded my brain!? My bad. |
i read everyone's post and nonody said anything about why do we get the super bowl champions right off the bat ( and i really don't give a sh%t) but why did we open with the nfc championship game opponent after our superbowl win and the clowns did'nt make the cut (i'm still laughing). hello atlanta do u get the message?

more pounds I gain this year from watching too much football and eating Poboys in the process. |
Our Bye week is well placed on that schedule, just in time for the last stretch of the season. Agreed it's a tough schedule, but I thought that at the start of 2009, look what happened then. We can't have any inconsistency like last year, we've gotta be on our game!
|
Hate this schedule. Almost impossible to plan a decent vacation around it. If they could atleast have placed the two away games in florida in back to back weeks.
Might be so bad that I don't get to see a Saints game at all. |
I think it's a tough schedule but the Green Bay game should be a good one and yeah it's in Green Bay we knew we was going to have to go up there and at least it will be early in the season and we don't have to worry about the weather, the three game in the row on the road worrys me a little. I think the schedule will show what kind of team we have and are we up for it.
|
I guess I'm in the minority then... I love the schedule.
|
At least the three straight road games are pretty close, geographically. Not like we will be going coast-to-coast.
And agreed, the first two games will really set the tone for us, we absolutely have to get off to a strong start. |

I like the bye week myself. Week 11 is a good spot to take a rest a prepare for a final run. At that point we should know what we are working with and who we can count on and who needs backup. Just give me some solid defense that holds teams to 20 or less; we'll end up 12-4 or better.
