this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Monday night, on the TV show "How I Met Your Mother", one of the characters said, "Get off the Super Dome floor, because you ain't no Saint." It was awesome. I had to back it up and hear it again....

Funny thing, that joke wouldn't work with many stadiums. Could you image them sayin "get off the Gillette floor" or "get off University of Phoenix floor". The Superdome is the only one that is memorably pristine. I could see University of Phoenix paying big bucks for a line like that in a movie after they finish paying back the 70 million in defunked student loans that the taxpayers fitted the bill for of course.

I just knew you were going to say: You know you hit the big time when the Saints have four primetime games, including two Monday night games and the season opener with the former world champion New Orleans Saints against the current world champions Green Bay Packers.

Funny thing, my wife and I kinda got a bit worn last year, as primetime games and 3pm starts in the Dome are a bit harder for us travelwise. I told her one day, "You know the one thing about losing that was good-- all our games were plain old Sunday noon kickoffs. But I'll take the tradeoff.

Tell you what I've noticed. Every gas station on I-10 around Baytown has as much Saints stuff now as Texans stuff. Sunday, in Cove, just west past the Trinity River--- they had a whole rack of Saints stuff, and the station I stopped at at Old River had a great Saints car flag. I dont care what kind of "wagon" it is, Im so happy to see this happening. |

I don't know the names of the characters very well, but one of them (I think it's Ted), has had a Saints shirt on in older episodes.
