Yeah, but this is just the calm before the storm. I think this is going to get uglier than it already has been. The owners aren't going to give up that easy.

True D. When someone is financially able to see something like this to the bitter end they will do it everytime. The players on the other hand are are about to take on the Colorado rapids in a perot.

The owners already expected this. It was anticipated.

The surprise would have been if she ruled in the owners favor.

Its not over, the owners will appeal and hopefully win in the end.

FINALLY, some progress! But, I have my doubts, mainly because of how the owners are gonna respond.

I just want it to be over and whatever it is, for the season to continue as normal.

Why did she do that and everthing is up in the air from Free agency to what the players can actually do. This is going to get messy.

Just curious, is there a stipulation in the framework of the NFL that allows them to lock out players if no collective bargaining agreement is in effect? If not, the owners should have to honor their contracts or release the players. Not really sure how thats setup though.

here comes the appeals process now. i'm happy for the ruling though.

One extremely EXTREMELY important tidbit from today's ruling and discussions: Jim Quinn, an attorney for the players said time is of the essence.

"They better act quickly, because as of right now there's no stay and, presumably, players could sign with teams," he said. "There are no guidelines as of right now, so they have to put something in place quickly."

I hope the NFL N will fill us in at 11pm eastern time.
