Mickey's looking pretty smart again!
This year's second and next year's first for a pretty much guaranteed starting RB for this year on top of getting a needed DE?!
Friggin' brilliant if you ask me. Stupid Dirty Birds, 5 picks over 2 years to move up for a WR (decent) who isn't a caliber of Calvin Johnson or Andre Johnson is pretty desperate to me. I don't remember their WRs being the reason the 13-3 team goes out after a first round bye in the playoffs. They had some pretty glaring needs at DEF that could have been filled and more substantial to the team in the long run. But hey, I guess we'll see. And how much do you think G.Williams drooled when he saw the new rookie the kitty kats picked at #1? I'm predicting at least two more games that will help our turnover ratio next season if he starts. |
He won't start. Hell he can't even remember an Auburn play to tell you right now!!!! It's more Claussen, and Pike!!!! You can put those 2 W's on the board now!!!!! They will be drafting in the same spot next season!!!!

GREAT trade and pick.
We essentially got out pick for next year this year and only gave up a second really. We have extra picks in later rounds that Loomis and company always seems to do better in than the first round so what out!!! |
I still find it hard to believe that the Falldowns traded all that for a WR. They so obviously needed help on defense but I'm glad they did it. I"m still laughing about it. ML did great though and it'll be very interesting what he finds for us in the later rounds.

The whole reason Atlanta lost to GB was because Roddy White was SHUT DOWN.
No one fears Jenkins or Finneran or Douglas. They needed a playmaker and sold the farm for one. They'll have to deal with it when we run the clock out on em with Ingram!! |
I think the people who make the Falclown picks are secretly on the payroll of the Saints... either that, or the Falcons staff is really that stupid.
Yea, the latter. |
Way to go Mickey! You Da Man
|
I remember when several posters here insisted he was a just bean counter and ran a Mickey Mouse operation.
Where are those folks now? |
I wasn't impressed w/ Julio Jones AT ALL!! I mean, don't get me wrong, I am sure he's a great athlete, but he drops the ball A LOT!! And, I've heard him talk...he sounds as dumb as a box of rocks. I hate saying that, but I had to turn off the TV when he was being interviewed....it was awful. So, I'm glad to see the Failcant's make this move....and I hope it works out for them as well as I believe it will!!
WHO DAT!!! |

Well, there was a highlite real w/ nothing but drops of his. He's still dumb as a box of rocks.

He will occasionally drop a ball, but its because he runs before catching and it certainly isn't a lot. I've watched every game this kid has played in, except for the pay-per-view body-bag games, and his hands remind me a lot of Marques Colston. Drop and easy one then catch one 6 feet behind him or 4 feet over his head He's gonna be a stud. Atlanta doesn't deserve this kid. |
He does drop quite a few, but is certainly an exceptional player and will make our lives on defense even harder.
That being said, they gave up a ton for him and ignored some pretty glaring needs on defense. They got absolutely shredded by GB in the playoffs. Comparing Atlanta's draft and ours, I'd say that we did the right thing and they did the wrong thing. But I guess time will tell on that. |

Kyle Turley? He's retired and thinks he's a musician now. :dunce: |

I don't know if he sounds like most. The guy sounds fairly dumb. Matter of fact he kinda sounds like someone stuck large amounts of cotton balls in each side of his mouth or like he had been to the dentist right before talking that day. That said, he can play and he will help them, probably. I don't think he will have an immediate impact only because very few wideouts do. He could though |
