Payton "Reggie definitely in our plans"
Jay Glazer's twitter. Some good news about Reggie.
FWIW, Sean Payton says he spoke w Reggie Bush and says, "He's a dynamic player, a difference-maker for us and definitely in our plans." |
Good!
|
I want to keep reggie
|
I'm glad but the truth is this: With Bush, PT, Ivory and Ingram...someone is gonna go. I can see 3 of those guys, but someone is going to get cut/traded or something. I would be surprised if we go into the season with all four.

Good get to work on that contract
|
Of course, cutting him is also a "plan".
|
He needs to cut a bunch of the dollars out of his contract, otherwise he won't be back. Nobody else will pay him what his contract is worth, so if he's going to take a pay cut, he may as well do it here.

You guys don't figure that our offense isn't a feature back offense. It is a committee... Different styles for different situations, also injuries.
We'll have 4 RB's on the team. When have we not had 4 RB's on the team? |

Guys, all this does is make us better. Keep Reggie. -- and use him on punts, in the slot, and at CB. Yes, CB. Why the hell couldnt Reggie play CB? |
Trade PT for a 3rd?

If Ingram is really the 2nd coming of Emmit, or even something remotely close, the scare our offense has been putting into other teams since Drew got here won't compare to the scare we'll put into the hearts of our opponents with a guy in the backfield that can shoulder that load. Be afraid. Be very afraid. |
I wont be surprised if they move Bush to WR, if training camp ever opens up, just have him practice catching. Then move him back to return kicks and punts. But only if he takes a pay cut, he just does not cut it as a running back.
|
I'm going to say this with a huge caveat (My boss uses that word all the time. It's the center square on our bull***t bingo sheet.) If Reggie stays healthy, now that he doesn't have to run up the middle anymore, he should, he'll add a lot to the offense. Just think back to our Superbowl year...
