We have the best D in the NFC South

Just looking around at the teams in the NFC South. I notice that every team except Carolina has powerful O's. Tampa can score and the Falclowns can as well and everyone knows about our O. The thing that I notice is that our D is the best. Especailly with the additions we made in this draft. Adding Rogers helps our D as well. We have the most complete team in the NFC South and everyone know when you have a complete team you go far.

The Falcants had the oppurtunity to get their defense "comparable" to ours in the draft, but whiffed big time with the Julius Jones trade up decision. After giving up 40-something points to the Packers that was the greater need.

With the Bucs adding Bowers and Clayborn, and those DT's from last year, I'd say Tampa is right on our heels if not even. Losing the pothead will hurt them though.

I like their potential but they're still young. The loss of Talib will hurt them a lot and I believe Rudd might be let go... two key players on their defense. Another year or two, I think it's a solid case of being on our heels... but not this year.

I think I'm going to wait and see just what kind of defense we turn out to be this season. I hope we can improve and push the needle forward like we did last year. Injuries can force some of our backups into action and can really affect the level of performance. Our defense, once again, will determine just how far we go. I'm not worried about the offense at all.

One more corner with height will make this team great on D, not just in the south but in the entire league. I think Ike Taylor a home town guy could bring that throphy back home.

I'm with a height increase across the back. Our 6 feet and under crew has always worried me.

Im in agreement greer and porter are great. but they are short. I just keep seeing Owens and Chad Johnson it looked like two giants versus to midgets.

Darrell Revis is also short. When people talk about him, his lack of size is not the first thing they mention. Height (6'1" or 6'2") is nice for a CB, but I seem to remember a CB we had several seasons ago named Michael Hawthorne. He was 6'4". Great. But he couldn't cover. I'd rather have a 5'10" guy that can cover, than a 6'2" player that can't.
