Y'all may call me a total homer but the Saints had the best draft of any team in the entire league, and if they think the Packers' offense is going to be scary good this year, what do they think the Saints' offense will be with the addition of Mark Ingram to the backfield for crying out loud?

On top of that, look at what the Saints have done to address their drop-off in terms of pressure on the QB and turnovers from last season on defense with the additions of Shaun Rogers alongside Sedrick Ellis, Cameron Jordan and Greg Romeus at DE, Matez Wilson and Nate Bussey at LB and Johnny Patrick at CB and tell me for one minute that defense won't be just as scary as offense for the Saints this season!

I was a huge fan of getting Ingram. Even if he's marginally good but consistent of getting those tough 2-3 yards it's going to be hard to stop the offense.

Power Ranking what do they mean ? anything.

Much like his play on the field, it'll probably have no effect either way.

It's simply someone's opinion of how good we are.

Freaking awesome. If it hadn't been for that fluke loss to the Seahacks, we would have crushed the Bears and then hosted the Packers for the NFC Championship. Who knows what would have happened?

Love the ranking, but we are gonna see what kinda metal we are made off real early on this season. A good free agency period good make us take us deep in to playoff land.

Our schedule is beyond brutal this year .... We will deserve our record.... and hopefully we can manage 12 wins or more. If not, then this ranking won't last long. Of course, the only ranking that matters is the one at the end of the year, as Green Bay proved this past year.

Glad to see the Superbowl champs ranked No. 1; you should stay No. 1 until they get knocked out of the playoffs or have had a significant decline during the following regular season...

Most amazing is the AFC teams are not ranked at the top; but then this is Fox, home to the NFC broadcasts...

#2 pre-season ranking is an honor; but, as many have already said, it means nothing.

lets try to get the offseason started, and get into free agency and player signings. On Spetember 8, we will get to see which team is better.
