Actually it won't become an issue. Once the market is set, his contract should get done quickly.

Does anyone actually believe what Mike Florio spews? Geez, I can't stand that guy...

One thing written in the article I am not sold on is that Brees will get a lesser contract than Manning. My gut feeling is the Saints will indeed let Manning set the market, and then do Brees with at least one dollar better. You know, it's a pride thing at this point, be all know both guys are "The Franchise" for their teams, and both will break the bank.

I truly beleieve that Brees is a team first guy. I don't believe that he will break the bank because he isn't selfish. For every dollat that he gets someone else loses a dollar. Brees is smart enough to know that and he wants to win not just be better paid than another QB.

Exactly... for this very reason, the contract will get done quickly.

Not to say that Loomis won't give him the massive contract, all of the who dat nation, the team and the front office know that Brees deserves it. He's the leader of the team both by words and work ethic/performance.

And i lastly want to say that i can see a 2 DAT at the end of this season!!!

Doesn't it just feel right again this year. The whole lock out thing this year and like in 2009 when we broke all of the record's that said no team that lost their last 3 reg season games ever won the SB. With our draft, we are sure ta 2 DAT!!!
