Colts fans talking about getting Bush
|
My god. That's all I have to say after reading some of that
|
I would love to see what they'll do to him up there when he starts Being Reggie Bush. Those people have a very low tolerance for anything that ain't tighter than a drum and walkin' the straight and narrow. Remember that Shirley Jackson story called "Lottery In June"? Well, that li'l useless USC idiot will be drawing the shortest straw real quick, and he better keep his helmet on, walking the streets. Indy ain't NOLA, and they ain't as easy goin', lovin' and forgivin' as we are. He's gonna WISH he'd worked harder in the land of Black and Gold. Also, Mistah Peyton Manning ain't no Drew Brees, neither. Reggie and Mr. P would have to out-tantrum each other for attention up there! I can just see the finger-pointing now!!!

He said Bush! HeHe :)
|
I'd rather they just take our worst cover guy.
|
I know some of ya'll don't care about him, but I hope he restructures and stays with us. I don't want him playing for someone else. Ok...I'm ready to be crucified now so get on with it. :-)
|
Many people are hoping to get Bush...probably not too many care about Reggie, though.

I think it was the late Atlanta game on a Monday night last year that I made the statement, "I don't care if I ever see Reggie Bush run the football again."
It's funny. When you see a Reggie commercial you think "Saints franchise runningback" and have visions of a bright gold fleur-de-lis, but then you see him dance and get nowhere and you see a bright gold dollar sign! LOL It's cool here to hate on Reggie, but it's not cool to hate on Reggie! I'm 'jus sayin... Alaska |

Slot receiver, kick returner, punt returner, skatback, RB...no player is going to excel at all those positions. Take away some of those responsibilities (and money) and his focus and production will increase. I firmly believe this and I also believe it would be extremely difficult to shutdown a Bush/Ingram backfield. And how many more years does he have to earn another ring on a team that likely won't make him run b/t the tackles.

How old are you folks? Been around long?
The Saints have a long history of being a farm team and having players come back and bite them after being traded away. Be careful what you wish for. It'll score touchdowns against you in a New York Second. Try to be better fans and not whine about your own star players. Thanks. |

I really think that the team that will gladly pay Reggie Bush the MOST money, is the team that most needs a boost in revenue -- jersey sales, ticket sales, merchandise, teams with attendance problems or stadium problems or fan loyalty issues. I don't know exactly who the main culprits are around the league who fit that profile right now, but I'm honestly thinking THAT'S the kind of team where Reggie is gonna end up, if he's not a Saint next year. Some owner who needs a money shot in the arm by selling a bazillion jerseys. Or filling an empty stadium. San Diego or Tampa maybe? St. Louis? I don't even look at or wonder how he would "fit" into the offense there, or who the coach is, or how they would use him on the field ... His proven value is in jersey sales or getting people to actually come out to games once in a while. So I think IF he is not a Saint next year (which I sincerely hope he is one) if Reggie leaves the Saints behind and follows the DOLLARS, he will very likely end up going to a team that desperately needs THAT boost in the cash register, more than they really need a RB or a punt returner or a decoy or wins on the field.
