How much of a salary cut will Bush take to stay with the Saints?
If he balks at the Saints offer, I think the Saints let him walk.
|
Is this a "final guess" thread?
|
|
Okay, I'm in (again).
Final guess: 4 years, 12 million with a 2 million signing bonus |

He's gone!! It's been fun New Orleans!!!

As little as possible.

trade bait for players to be named plus picks.
i have to give him credit though, when he redid his contract and went last year laden-ed he knew there was little chance of collecting |

1st...though, I hope he stays a Saint but my gut says no... ...but, getting back to my comment. I will always think of Reggie Bush as the man that lead us to the promised land. I know...I am neglecting Payton and Brees, and they do deserve the bulk of the credit, but I don't care. I remember telling myself and others that if they didn't draft Reggie when given the chance by Houston, then this team does not care about winning. Well...they did draft Reggie, and then after a misfire or two...we got there. So, whether it is justified or not, I relate him to the pick that turned the franchise around...finally. |
IMO, it was Gregg Williams who put the Saints over the hump and into the Superbowl.

The Saints offer will be 3-4 for 3-4 years with a bonus.
The muddy will come from the other suitors who may sweeten the deal a lot. This is Reggie's last BIG offer. He may have to take the money if someone offers 5 or 6, I would. |
He's gone. He's a 4th string RB and situational player only for the Saints. He will get eqaul to more money and get a shot at being the #2 guy somewhere else. It is what it is. Thanks Reggie. Good luck!

trade'm player - who would u get? one cap hog for another? with is injury history? there has to be a fool out there some where to take the bait. hmmmm al davis and his love for speed :p. Too bad there cap is so screwed up. Bush would put a lot fans in the seats. trade'm picks - what picks? talk of a third is not worth it. not with the new cba in place and it's cap friendly signing of draft picks. That increases his value. Second round pick is now the min. and a conditional performance pick. It better have a clause of how low that second round pick can be. keep'em - i would rather see him resign and get his head and wallet out of the clouds. The saints would do reggie a big favor by getting a KR/PR to take that load off his shoulders. |
I saw on rotoworld that Bush's agent said he wouldn't take a cut and that St. Louis or Philly were both looking.
|
Mr Mackey on ESPN just said that Saints plan to cut him cause he thinks he won't restructure and he joins the Buccs, yeah right

I could definitely see how Bush would fill a role and compliment Blount over there. Never thought about it before but it makes sense. I can also see them shelling out big dollars to get a veteran productive receiver like Moore. |
lets hope a team will wants him bad enough to keep him off the market
ok lets spend that money else where. now get drew restructure asap. hell throw a large signing bounce at him and drop the cap numbers. |
Don Banks from SI on DP show thinks same thing about Bush, he didn't mention teams but did say Saints/Payton best fit for Bush

That would suck |
How would that suck? only lose would be Moore, they could have all our garbage free agents if they want
|
i could honestly go the rest of my life without another bush thread...sorry
